Grand National week #
April at Aintree Racecourse means hospitality boxes, sponsor boards and a lot of people in hats. Hospitality teams order step and repeat banners so every photo has the logo in it, and office groups make a daft banner for their day out. Keep the wording short. Nobody reads a paragraph through binoculars.
Printing in Liverpool for Kings Dock events #
The Exhibition Centre and Convention Centre at Liverpool Experience Campus sit next door to the M&S Bank Arena. Exhibitors bring roller banners, while dinners and awards nights book an event backdrop for the stage. Measure the stage first, then type in the exact size. The price updates as you go.
Parks, runs and match days #
- Festivals and fun runs: crowd barrier banners and festival banners dress the route and the gates.
- Anfield: flags and banners for the Kop faithful on match days.
- Charities: a cheer-point banner so your runners know where the water and their mates are.
Home-made occasions #
Plenty of Liverpool print has nothing to do with business. Nan turning 80, a new baby home from the hospital, a street party after the team wins something: a PVC banner with eyelets on the front railings is the usual answer. Keep the text big and the words few, and pick a colour that stands out against red brick. Photos off a phone work if they are sharp; blurry ones stay blurry, only bigger.
Students, bars and builders #
Societies at Liverpool John Moores University and the University of Liverpool order open day and graduation banners. Bars and shops put up PVC banners for offers and events. Contractors fix Correx boards at the site gate, and landlords use them for to-let signs.
A word about the wind #
The Mersey is not shy. On anything near the water, pick mesh banners: the air goes through, so the banner stays up and the fence stays standing. Save solid PVC for walls and sheltered railings.
Outdoor rules #
Outdoor adverts in England come under the 2007 advertisement regulations. Temporary banners often need no permission, but if yours is going on a wall or by a road and you are unsure, check with Liverpool City Council.

Liverpool orders: your questions
Is FatPrint a Liverpool firm?
No. We are an online print business with no shop or office on Merseyside. Each order is made to order and sent out from within the UK by tracked courier.
Will it go straight to Kings Dock for my exhibition?
It can go wherever you tell us. The venue runs its own delivery slots and label rules, so copy them from your exhibitor pack into the checkout notes. Plenty of people find the office an easier drop-off.
What is the postage to Liverpool?
A flat £7.95, or free once the order passes £100 after any discount code (artwork fees do not count towards it). Items longer than 3 m, or boards beyond A0, carry a £15 surcharge.
Which material copes with the waterfront?
Mesh. It lets the wind straight through. Solid PVC is happier on walls, indoors or somewhere sheltered.
How long from order to doorstep?
Making time depends on the product and turnaround, and it is listed on the product page. It starts once we have a confirmed order plus usable artwork. After dispatch, count on one to three working days with the courier.
