Occasion & Celebration Banners (celebration banner printing)

Pick the occasion, then make it yours

With celebration banner printing, every banner on this page is the same sturdy product underneath. The name just gives you the right starting design:

  • Family milestones: Birthday Banners, Anniversary Banners, Christening, Baby Shower, Housewarming and Graduation Banners.
  • Faith and festivals: Eid Banners, Diwali Banners, Christmas, Easter and Church Banners.
  • Days in the calendar: Halloween, Valentines Day, Mothers Day and Fathers Day Banners, plus Party Banners for anything else.
  • Saying goodbye: Funeral and Memorial Banners for a service or a gathering afterwards.

What celebration banner printing gets you

Full colour on 440gsm PVC, a solid, opaque banner material that shows off photos and loud colours, indoors or outside. Then three finishing choices: hemmed edges or none, plastic or metal eyelets, and none, one or two bags of cable ties. If the banner is going on a railing or fence outside, hemmed edges are the ones we recommend for celebration banner printing.

Sizes for celebration banner printing

All seventeen share the same 13 sizes, from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) up to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm). Live prices are in the size table near the top of the page. A quick guide by where it's going:

  • Inside a room or hall, read from a few metres: 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) or 4 ft 11 in × 3 ft 3 in (1500 × 1000 mm).
  • Behind the cake table or on the stage: 6 ft 7 in × 3 ft 3 in (2000 × 1000 mm) fits a name and a big photo.
  • Front railings, seen from the pavement: 6 ft × 3 ft (1829 × 914 mm) or 8 ft × 3 ft (2438 × 914 mm).
  • A church or community notice that stays up for weeks: tie it through every eyelet and keep it taut, whatever the size.

Getting the photo and the names right

Most celebration banners carry a photo of the birthday girl, the new graduate or the happy couple, so the photo matters. At full size a banner needs roughly 100 to 150 dpi, so send the original file off the phone, not a screenshot of a WhatsApp message. Keep names and dates at least 50 mm in from the edges. Bright screen colours can print a little calmer, which is normal. Canva designs are a fine start; export a full quality PDF.

Spell-check Grandma's name. Then check it again, because celebration banner printing can't fix a typo once it's on the fence. Upload a print-ready file, make one in the free online designer, or use our paid artwork service. A real person checks every uploaded file for free, and the artwork guidelines have the details.

Getting it there before the party

Standard production is 4 working days, express 2 and saver 6, counted from when your order and artwork are confirmed. Birthdays and festivals don't move, so order with delivery time to spare. Every celebration banner printing order is made to order and dispatched from the UK.

UK mainland delivery is £7.95, free on orders of £100 or more after discounts (artwork fees excluded). Mainland Highlands add £10. Northern Ireland, the Scottish islands, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Wight are quoted. Items over 3 m on any side add £15. See the delivery page.

Getting married? Try wedding banners. Want a blank canvas? Plain PVC banners take any design, and the what size banner do I need guide helps with sizing your celebration banner printing.

Occasion & Celebration Banners: questions answered

Can Grandma's photo go on her 80th birthday banner?

Of course, and it will look lovely, since these banners print in full colour. Dig out the largest original of the picture rather than a copy saved from social media. At banner size a photo wants roughly 100 to 150 dpi, and if yours falls short we tell you before anything is printed.

We want the banner on the garden fence. Will it survive outside?

It will. The 440gsm PVC is made for outdoor fences, railings and walls. For anything longer than a single day, add a hem and metal eyelets, then tie off every eyelet so gusts cannot pull it about.

Can I get a banner for Eid or Diwali?

Yes. Eid Banners and Diwali Banners sit in this range next to Christmas, Easter and church banners. They share the same 440gsm PVC, the same choice of 13 sizes and the same finishing, and carry whatever design and greeting you send.

Do you print banners for a funeral or memorial?

Yes. Funeral and Memorial Banners use the same 440gsm PVC and sizes as the other celebration banners, printed with your chosen photo and words. If there is a service date to meet, pick express, and use the Contact page if you would like help getting the artwork ready.

We need the same banner for the venue and the house. Can we order two?

Yes. Any quantity from 1 up to 99 of one design is fine. That covers a banner for the venue and one at home, or a church or club that wants the same message on several railings.
