Teardrop Flag Printing
Teardrop flag printing for forecourts, shop doors, sports days and anywhere a logo needs to be spotted from the road. The rounded sail keeps its shape when the wind picks up, so the design stays readable instead of flapping into a crumpled mess. Choose a height of 2.1 m, 2.8 m, 3.5 m or 4.6 m, single or double sided, then a base to match grass, paving or a car park. Order from 1 to 99 flags.

Three questions people ask first
Teardrop or feather?
The teardrop sail is wide and round, so it loves a logo, a badge or a single short word. A feather flag is tall and thin, better for a word that reads upwards like SALE or OPEN. If the site is breezy, teardrop flag printing is the safer bet, because the shape holds its outline and the design doesn't vanish into folds.
Which height?
Think about the distance, not the space. 2.1 m and 2.8 m are right for a café door, a stall at a craft fair or inside a sports hall. 3.5 m and 4.6 m are for car forecourts, garden centres, a touchline at a football tournament or a gate on a busy road where drivers need a few seconds' warning.
Single or double sided?
Single sided flags show a mirror image on the back. Fine against a wall, awkward in the middle of a field. If people will walk round it, go double sided so both faces read the right way.
The teardrop flag printing range
The main Teardrop Flags page lets you switch between all four heights. There are also single-height pages for the 2.8 m, 3.5 m and 4.6 m flags if you already know what you want. They're the same product with the height picked for you. Live prices for each height, before a base, are in the size table near the top of the page.
Bases to go with your teardrop flag printing
The base is what keeps a flag upright, so pick it for the ground you'll be on:
- Grass, a field or a verge: a ground spike, standard or budget.
- Paving or tarmac outside a shop: a small or large water base, filled on the day.
- Indoors, a hall or an exhibition floor: a small or large cross base, or a small square base.
- Something heavier: a concrete base, or a drive-on car base where you park a wheel on the plate.
The 4.6 m flag comes with the standard ground spike, large cross, large water, concrete or drive-on options. You can also order a flag with no base if you already own one, or buy spares from flag accessories.
Teardrop flag printing artwork that suits the shape
- Put the logo in the widest part of the sail, just above the middle.
- Keep the pole edge clear. It wraps into the sleeve and anything there disappears.
- No small text near the narrow bottom tip. There's hardly any room down there.
- Big, bold and few words. A flag gets a glance, not a read.

Teardrop flag printing times and delivery
Standard production for teardrop flag printing is 6 working days, express from 4 working days and saver 8, counted from when your order and artwork are confirmed. Every flag is made to order and dispatched from the UK. UK mainland delivery is £7.95, free on orders of £100 or more after discounts (artwork fees excluded). Mainland Highlands add £10. Northern Ireland, the Scottish islands, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Wight are quoted. See the delivery page for the details.
Other flags worth a look
If teardrop flag printing isn't quite the right fit, compare the shape with crest flags and feather flags, and the full printed flags range covers the rest. A common trick at open days is a pair of tall teardrops at the gate and a smaller one by the door, so visitors get led in step by step.
Teardrop Flags: questions answered
How tall are teardrop flags?
The shortest is 2.1 m and the tallest 4.6 m, with 2.8 m and 3.5 m in between. The shorter pair suits shop doors and events. The taller pair belongs on forecourts, sports grounds and roadside sites, where it has to stand out above passing traffic.
Teardrop or feather flag: what is the difference?
Feather flags are tall and slim, ideal for a word running up the pole. The teardrop shape has a rounded head that keeps its form in a light breeze, so logos and icons look their best. Both print in full colour, on one side or both.
Which height should our club choose?
Where people see the flag up close, like the clubhouse door, a stall or an indoor event, one of the two shorter heights is plenty. Where it has to be spotted over cars and crowds, such as a pitch, a forecourt or a roadside, go for one of the two taller heights.
Can a teardrop flag stand on a car park?
Yes. For tarmac or paving, fill a water base, or use a cross, square or concrete base. On a forecourt there is also a drive-on plate you park a wheel on. Base choices differ by height, so check the list for the size you want.
