Why notebooks and desk pad printing earns its keep

A flyer gets read once. A notebook gets opened every morning for months. Hand one to a new starter on day one, slip one into a conference bag, or leave one with a client after a meeting, and your name is on their desk long after everyone has forgotten the handouts. A desk pad does the same job on a smaller scale: it sits by the phone at a reception desk, a letting agent's counter or a builders' merchant's trade desk, catching phone numbers and orders all day.

Both notebooks carry your logo on the front cover and come in runs of 25, 50, 100, 250, 500 or 1,000. Desk pads can be ordered one at a time, up to 250, so you can try a single pad before you commit to a stack.

Choosing your notebooks and desk pad printing options

Notebook cover colour

Think about your logo first. A white or pale logo pops on navy, black or red. A dark logo sits happily on white or oatmeal. If your brand colour is on the list, matching it looks deliberate rather than random.

Desk pad size and shape

DL (99 × 210 mm) is long and slim, good for shopping lists and phone messages. A5 (148 × 210 mm) is the all-rounder. A4 (210 × 297 mm) suits order forms and meeting notes. A3 (297 × 420 mm) is a proper desk blotter. Each size comes portrait or landscape. The size table near the top of the page shows live prices for popular options.

Desk pad paper and thickness

Pads come with 25, 50 or 100 sheets. 90gsm smooth white is light and tears off cleanly. 120gsm uncoated is firmer with a natural feel. 170gsm smooth white is the heavy one, closer to thin card. All three are happy with pen and pencil.

Artwork for notebooks and desk pad printing

• For notebooks, send a vector logo as a PDF, EPS or SVG, so it stays sharp on the cover.
• For desk pads, send a print-ready PDF at the finished size with 3 mm bleed on every edge.
• Keep a desk pad design light in the writing area. Heavy colour under the pen makes notes hard to read.

Each product page shows its own production days for saver, standard and express, counted in working days from when your order and artwork are confirmed. All notebooks and desk pad printing orders are made to order and dispatched from the UK. UK mainland delivery is £7.95, free on orders of £100 or more after discounts (artwork fees excluded).
