Table Covers Printing

Table covers printing for the bare trestle table you get handed at a craft fair, a trade show or the school summer fete. There are two ways to do it here: a printed tablecloth in small, medium or large that hides the whole table, legs and all, or a printed table runner in 600 × 2200 mm or 800 × 2200 mm that drapes over the top and down the front. Both are full colour, printed to your artwork and made to order.

Tablecloths & Runners (table covers printing)

The trestle table problem

You turn up, the organiser points at a folding table with scuffed legs, and that's your stand. Behind it sit three boxes of stock, a coat and a flask of tea. A printed cover sorts all of that in about thirty seconds. It hides the clutter, puts your name at waist height where people actually look as they walk past, and makes a borrowed table look like it came with you. That is the whole point of table covers printing: turning somebody else's furniture into part of your display.

Table covers printing: cloth or runner?

  • You want the table to vanish: a printed tablecloth, in small, medium or large. It covers the top and drops down the sides, so boxes stay out of sight. Order 1 to 40.
  • You want something quick and light: a printed table runner, 600 × 2200 mm or 800 × 2200 mm. It lies across the table and hangs down the front, leaving the ends bare. Order 1 to 50.
  • You want both: plenty of stallholders lay a plain or printed cloth first and put a runner on top for a second splash of branding.

A cloth feels more finished for a reception desk, an awards dinner or a busy exhibition hall. A runner packs smaller, which counts when you're doing a market every weekend out of the back of a hatchback.

Sizes in table covers printing: measure first

Tablecloths

Venue tables are not all the same, even at the same venue. Measure length, width and height, or ask the organiser what they're supplying, then compare with the small, medium and large options. The size table near the top of the page shows live prices for each tablecloth size, and the product page has the details.

Runners

Both runners are 2200 mm long, so the only choice is width. The 600 mm runner gives a neat stripe down the middle. The 800 mm one covers more of the top and gives you a wider panel on the front drop, which is where your logo earns its keep.

Artwork for table covers printing

  • Put the logo on the front drop. Anything on the table top ends up under leaflets, a card reader and someone's elbow.
  • Keep it short: logo, one line about what you do, a web address. People read it from the aisle, a few metres away.
  • Keep words away from edges and corners, which fold or hang.
  • Use vector logos where you can so they stay sharp at full size.

Production days and delivery

For table covers printing, standard production is 7 working days, express from 5 working days and saver 9, counted from when your order and artwork are confirmed. Book with your event date in mind, not the day before. All table covers printing is made to order and dispatched from the UK. UK mainland delivery is £7.95, free on orders of £100 or more after discounts (artwork fees excluded). Mainland Highlands add £10. Northern Ireland, the Scottish islands, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Wight are quoted. The delivery page has the full terms, and for odd sizes or a big batch you can get a quote.

Finish the rest of the stand

Table covers printing handles the front of the stand. For height behind it, add a cardboard totem at the corner, or swap the table for a promotional counter at shows where you stand all day. The full exhibition displays range has backdrops and banner stands to match, so a small stall can look planned rather than thrown together. A cloth plus a totem is a tidy, portable kit for anyone doing table covers printing for the first time.

Tablecloths & Runners: questions answered

What sizes are the printed tablecloths?

Three: a small, a medium and a large cloth. Each product page gives the exact measurements, so check your table with a tape measure and choose the one that fits. Table runners are made 2200 mm long, in widths of 600 or 800 mm.

Tablecloth or table runner for our charity stall?

A full cloth drapes over all four sides and hides the boxes stored below, which looks tidy at fairs and receptions. A runner is a strip laid over the top that falls down the front, quicker to put on and fine when the table does not need to be covered all round.

How many tablecloths can I order at once?

Up to 40 cloths, or up to 50 runners, in one go. Plenty for lining up a row of tables in matching colours at a school fete or a set of market stalls.

Where should our logo go on the tablecloth?

Put it on the part that hangs down at the front, where visitors walking by see it. The top will almost always be covered with leaflets, cakes or a laptop. Keep it bold and uncluttered so people can read it from a few steps back.
