The three questions before any backdrop printing order

What is going to happen in front of it?

That decides almost everything. A band needs width, because the drum kit and amps spread out. A wedding couple needs height and a clean middle. A press wall needs logos repeated so any close crop still catches one. A kids' party needs something bright that survives a lot of sticky hands. Start from what the camera will see.

How big is the space?

Measure the wall or the frame, not the room. Note the height of the ceiling or truss too, as venues often have less headroom than you think.

Does the venue have rules?

Some venues and clients ask for PVC-free materials. If yours does, pick the 400gsm PVC-free option. If not, 440gsm PVC is the standard choice.

Pick the backdrop by the job

Backdrop printing sizes

Five ready sizes cover most rooms and stages. A single couple or photo booth fits the smallest; a full band or a long top table wants one of the wide ones. Live prices sit in the size table near the top of the page.

Getting the artwork right for the camera

Heads block things, so plan your backdrop printing around them. Keep logos and names at shoulder height and above, and leave the lower part of a photo wall simple. On a step and repeat, space the logos evenly so a tight crop still shows at least one. Keep text well in from the edges, where hems and fixings sit. Work at full size or to scale in millimetres, and check the artwork guidelines for resolution.

Backdrop printing timings and delivery

Standard production is 3 or 7 working days depending on the product, with express from 1 working day and a slower saver option. Each product page shows its own times, counted from when your order and artwork are confirmed, so work back from the party date rather than forward from today.

All backdrop printing is made to order and dispatched from the UK. UK mainland delivery is £7.95, free on orders of £100 or more after discounts (artwork fees excluded). Anything over 3 m on any side, like the 4000 × 2500 mm size, adds £15. Mainland Highlands add £10, and Northern Ireland, the Scottish islands, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Wight are quoted.
