Printing in Cardiff, in Welsh, English or both
Printing in Cardiff often means two languages on one sign, and that is no problem here. Banners, flags, stands and outdoor signs, made to order and couriered to any CF postcode. Send us the words in Welsh and English and that is exactly what goes on it.

Printing in Cardiff in two languages #
Plenty of local charities, schools, councils and firms put Cymraeg and English side by side on their signs. Supply your artwork, or send the text and we will set it. Send the Welsh as a file we can copy, not retyped from memory, and read it through before ordering. Accents on vowels matter, and what you see is what you get.
Laying out a bilingual sign #
Two languages means twice the words in the same space, so be ruthless. Keep the message short in both. Stack them, or split the sign down the middle, but give each language the same size and weight. If one looks like an afterthought, people notice. A bigger board is often cheaper than a redesign. Decide which language goes first, then stick to it on every sign, banner and flag so the whole set looks like it belongs together.
Match days and big gigs #
The Principality Stadium sits right in the city centre, so a big match takes over the whole place. The Utilita Arena Cardiff and the Cardiff City Stadium add concerts and football. Supporters’ PVC banners, hospitality backdrops and promo flags all earn their keep. Summer events on the Bay suit feather flags, and mesh banners handle the breeze off the water.
Stands at ICC Wales #
Over in Newport, ICC Wales hosts most of the region’s big conferences and trade shows. Exhibitors usually bring a roller banner and an exhibition banner for the back wall. Send it to the venue on its terms, or to your office if that is easier. A printed tablecloth or a pop-up wall can join the kit later, once you know the show is worth going back to.
Students, shops, sites and families #
- Cardiff Met and Cardiff University: freshers, open day and graduation banners.
- Shops and cafes: outdoor business signs and A-frames.
- Builders and landlords: Correx boards for site gates and to-let signs.
- Families: birthday and welcome-home banners, in whichever language Nan prefers.
Banners outdoors in Wales #
Wales has its own planning setup for outdoor adverts. Going on a wall, railings or beside a road? Check with Cardiff Council before it goes up.

Cardiff orders: your questions
Can a sign have Welsh and English on it?
Yes. Send finished artwork, or send both versions of the wording and we will set it. Supply the Welsh in a file we can copy and paste, and read it through before ordering.
Does FatPrint have a shop in Cardiff?
No. FatPrint is an online print business with nowhere to walk into in the city. Everything is made to order and leaves by tracked courier from within the UK.
What will postage to Cardiff cost?
£7.95 a parcel, or free once the order tops £100 after discounts (artwork fees do not count towards it). Anything longer than 3 m, or a board beyond A0, carries a £15 surcharge.
Will you send exhibition kit to ICC Wales?
Happily, or anywhere else you choose. The centre has its own delivery windows and label rules, so copy them from your exhibitor pack into the checkout notes.
How soon will it reach Cardiff?
Making time for each turnaround is listed on the product page and starts once we have a confirmed order plus usable artwork. After dispatch, the courier normally needs one to three working days.
