Overview
Exhibition banner printing without the faff: you choose the size and finish, the price shows as you go, and we print it to order.
Getting the size right
Exhibition banner printing comes like this: 13 sizes, from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) up to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm). Measure the space and take off a few centimetres each side for the fixings. If people read it from across a road, go for the deeper sizes: height helps more than width once the letters need to be seen from 20 metres away.
Exhibition banner printing: material and finishing
It is printed on 400gsm PVC-free, for venues and buyers who want to avoid PVC. Extras in the options: eyelets in plastic or metal (metal is the tougher choice for banners that stay up outside), hemmed edges, where the edge is folded and welded for strength (worth having on anything going outside) and a bag or two of cable ties, so the fixings turn up with the banner.
Tie every eyelet, not just the corners. A banner held at four points flaps, and flapping is what tears eyelets out.
Good jobs for it
Right for trade stands, shell schemes and conference rooms. A café can hang one over the door to announce a new menu, then roll it up for next year. Charities use them at fun runs and fetes where the same banner has to work for years.
Timing
Upload your own file, lay it out in the online designer, or hand it to our paid artwork service, which includes 1 design and 2 rounds of changes. A person gives every file a free check first. Standard production is 4 working days from when your order and artwork are confirmed. Express gets it done from 2 working days. Saver takes 6 and is there if you are not in a rush. Your exhibition banner printing is made to order and dispatched from the UK.
Venues manage fire safety under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, so ask the organiser what they need to know about display materials before the day.
Delivery to a UK mainland address is £7.95, or free once the order passes £100 after any discount (artwork fees are not counted). The Highlands add £10, and addresses in Northern Ireland, the Scottish islands, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, Scilly or the Isle of Wight get a quote. The sizes over 3 m on any side go by specialist courier, which adds £15 once per order. Full details are on the delivery page.

Questions
Quick answers about exhibition banner printing.
Which exhibition banner size should we take to a trade show or craft fair?
A stand front or entrance usually suits 6 ft × 3 ft (1829 × 914 mm) or 8 ft × 3 ft (2438 × 914 mm). For a stage backdrop or a run of barriers, 9 ft 10 in × 3 ft 3 in (2997 × 991 mm) and up gives people something to see from across the hall. Outdoor shows on exposed ground are better served by a mesh banner.
Who looks after the order once I have paid?
FatPrint does. Your artwork is checked by a person first, your exhibition banner is made to order, and a courier brings it to you with email tracking. Got a question first? Ask in the box on this page and a person answers.
Can I check the cost before I order?
It starts at £34.86, the cheapest combination, and changes as you pick options. What the page shows is what you pay for the goods at checkout. Goods worth £100 or more travel free to a UK mainland address; below that, delivery is a flat £7.95 for the whole order.
Can I order several banners at once?
Yes. Anything from 1 up to 99 is priced on this page. The price per piece usually drops as the number goes up, which helps clubs and shops ordering in bulk. Postage to the UK mainland is £7.95 per basket, not per item, and free when your goods total £100 or more.
Will someone look at my file before the exhibition banner is printed?
Yes. A person checks every file you upload before printing starts. Paid help is there too: a clean layout from your text and logo (£15), a design from your brief (£35) or a logo redraw (£30), each with one first draft and two rounds of changes.
Is the price shown for my exhibition banner order the full price?
Yes, for the goods. The price you see is the price you pay at checkout. Mainland UK delivery adds £7.95 to the basket, and nothing once the goods reach £100 after any discount code.
Asked by buyers
How cheaply can I get hold of Exhibition Banners?
Picked the way the page first loads, with 400gsm PVC free and 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm), Exhibition Banners come to £34.86. Any other mix of options, a faster turnaround included, gets its own price the moment you choose it, and that figure is what you pay at checkout. Only delivery is left to add. On its own the opening price of £34.86 would add £7.95 for mainland delivery; reach £100 of goods and that goes to zero.
Is delivery extra on top of the price of Exhibition Banners?
Send it to a UK mainland address for a flat £7.95, or for free when the goods in the basket add up to £100 or more after discounts; artwork and design charges do not count towards that. An order of just this at the opening price of £34.86 is under £100, so it pays the £7.95. The very largest sizes go as oversize parcels, adding £15 to the order once. We price delivery first for Northern Ireland and for the Isle of Wight, the Channel Islands, Scilly, the Scottish islands and the Isle of Man; Highland addresses on the mainland just pay £10 extra, one time per order. Choose Saver and these banners leave us after 6 working days; Express brings that down to 2.
Which turnaround speeds can I choose for Exhibition Banners?
Allow 6 working days on Saver, 4 on Standard or 2 on Express before Exhibition Banners are handed to the courier, based on the options the page opens with. Weekends and bank holidays are not counted, and nothing starts until the order is paid and the artwork is confirmed. Pick another size or material and the days beside each speed update, sometimes by a day. After it leaves us, the courier normally delivers in one to three working days and you get the tracking link by email.
I am making my own design. How do I lay out the file for these banners?
Build the page at the exact size you are ordering, or at a scale such as 1:10 if the file would be huge, and carry the background colour or picture all the way out to the edges. Words and logos belong 50 mm or more inside every edge. The hem is folded back there and the eyelet holes go through close to the border. Somewhere between 100 and 150 dpi at full size is plenty, since a banner is read from a few steps back. Designing online instead? The editor marks where the eyelets and the safe zone are. Material choices for Exhibition Banners: 400gsm PVC Free.
Which artwork services are offered with Exhibition Banners?
Several routes, all chosen under Artwork on this page. Send your own finished file (no charge), we set your words and logo on a tidy layout, called typesetting (£15), we design it from your brief (£35), we redraw a blurry or low quality logo as sharp vector art (£30) or we create a brand new logo (£50). Typesetting and design from a brief each come with one first draft and two rounds of changes. The fee is the same whatever quantity you order and shows separately in the basket. There is also a free online designer if you want to build it yourself. On its opening option, Exhibition Banners leaves us after 6 working days on Saver.
Is the online designer free, and how do I use it?
Pick a starting layout, swap in your own words, logo and pictures, and move things around until it looks right. While you work, the tool flags sample text you forgot to change, small text, items outside the safe area and blurry images, before you can finish. It is free to use and the on-screen watermark does not print. What you see is what we print. Make the artwork for these banners the same size as the one you order, such as 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm). Before delivery, these banners cost from £34.86.
Which sizes can Exhibition Banners be printed in?
The table has 12 sizes. At the small end, 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) costs from £34.86; at the top, 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm) costs from £154.56. Need something in between? Type in your own width and height, anywhere from 300 mm to 5000 by 3000 mm. Each figure is for the cheapest set of options at that size. Unsure? Measure where it will go and check the view from the spot people will stand. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
We are not sure how big to go. Which banner size is right for us?
Two numbers decide it: the space you are filling, and the distance people will read it from. At 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm), the smallest option here sits neatly on a stall, a doorway or one section of railing. At 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), the biggest can stretch along a playing field fence or across the front of a building and still be read from far off. Nothing quite right? Any measurement from 300 mm on the short side to 5000 mm long by 3000 mm deep can be made. Material choices for Exhibition Banners: 400gsm PVC Free.
How do I hang these banners so the result looks tidy?
Start with the four corners so the banner hangs straight, then fill in along the top and bottom, using every eyelet. Tighten each tie until the slack is gone and stop there, so the banner is not stretched. Cable ties, bungee cords or rope all do the job. On an exposed railing, bungees stretch slightly when a gust hits, which takes the shock off solid PVC. Have a look after the first breezy day and swap any tie that has broken. We print these banners on 400gsm PVC Free. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
Could the total go up after I reach the checkout?
No surprises: what the page shows for these banners is the goods figure you pay at checkout. Delivery is the one extra, £7.95 to a UK mainland address, and it drops away when the goods reach £100 after discounts. Paid artwork help shows up as its own basket line, so you can check each amount before paying. Before delivery, these banners cost from £34.86.
How many Exhibition Banners can I buy at one time?
Anything from 1 to 99. The quantity choices on the page run 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, and upwards. The figure shown is for the whole batch, not for one, so divide it by the number you picked to see the cost of each. If you need more than 99, send the size, number and date through our Get a quote page. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all. Before delivery, these banners cost from £34.86.
I am not a business. Can I buy just one of these banners?
Of course. Anyone can order, with no trade account and no minimum beyond one. Prices for Exhibition Banners begin at £34.86, checkout works without an account and you pay by card. Parents, clubs, churches and small shops order single items all the time. On its own the opening price of £34.86 would add £7.95 for mainland delivery; reach £100 of goods and that goes to zero.
How can a small charity keep the cost of these banners down?
Three things help most: a modest size, 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at £34.86; the Saver option, which costs least and needs 6 working days; and wording without a date, so it can be used again. Making the design yourself on screen is free. Delivery is free once the goods reach £100, so a few groups sharing one order can save the £7.95. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
Could you price an 8 ft × 3 ft (2438 × 914 mm) banner for me?
From £62.02, with the cheapest settings and the Saver service. Add £7.95 for UK mainland delivery, or nothing at all once the goods reach £100. Select it on the page and swap materials, finishes and speed to watch how the figure moves. Before delivery, these banners cost from £34.86. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
And the largest banner, 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm): how much is that one?
From £154.56, with the cheapest settings and the Saver service. That clears the £100 mark on its own, so UK mainland delivery costs nothing.
Our event is close. Can Exhibition Banners be rushed?
Yes. Choose Express and Exhibition Banners can be on the way in 2 working days on the opening option, for £46.49, where Saver is £34.86 and takes 6 days. Then give the courier one to three working days, and send the artwork with the order, because the clock does not run until the file is sorted. If the date is really tight, message us on the Contact page before paying and we will tell you honestly.
I am not a designer. What if the file I send turns out to be unusable?
That is why a person looks at every upload before anything is printed. Typical snags are a document at the wrong size, missing bleed, blurry photos and words sitting too near the trim. If we spot one, we explain what to change and you send a fresh file. Or hand it over to us: for £15 our typesetting places your wording and logo on a neat layout, with one first draft and two rounds of changes. Make the artwork for these banners the same size as the one you order, such as 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm). If you have no file, you can build the design for these banners in our free online designer and check every detail before ordering.
How tall do the letters need to be so people can read these banners from a distance?
Take 6 ft × 3 ft (1829 × 914 mm) as an example. Leave 50 mm clear on every side and the text area is about 814 mm high. Capitals 240 mm tall can be picked out at around 29 m, because sign makers reckon every 25 mm of letter height carries roughly 3 m. A few short, heavy words in a colour that stands out from the background travel further than a long line squeezed in. Make the artwork for these banners the same size as the one you order, such as 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm). Material choices for Exhibition Banners: 400gsm PVC Free.
How many pixels does a photo need to print well on these banners?
Big items seen from a distance only need 100 to 150 dpi at full size. So a 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm) layout wants about 11,811 by 7,874 pixels. Keep lettering and logos as vectors if you can. An image copied off a web page or a social post rarely has enough pixels; if yours looks likely to print soft, our file check flags it. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
Can I send a Word or Canva file for Exhibition Banners?
Word, PowerPoint and Canva are a fair place to start, but export a high quality PDF from them before uploading. Our first choice is always a PDF at the ordered size with fonts embedded or outlined, followed by AI, EPS or SVG, then high resolution JPG, PNG or TIFF. You can add three files, each up to 25 MB, on this page, or upload them after ordering from the email we send. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all. On its opening option, Exhibition Banners leaves us after 6 working days on Saver.
Someone else is putting our file together. How does it reach you?
Easiest route: they send the finished file to whoever placed the order, and it gets uploaded after ordering. Up to 3 files of 25 MB each are fine. They can also reach us through the Contact page, as long as they quote your order number so it lands on the right job. Production waits for the checked file, so a late file means a later dispatch date. If you have no file, you can build the design for these banners in our free online designer and check every detail before ordering. On its opening option, Exhibition Banners leaves us after 6 working days on Saver.
Once I finish designing these banners online, is the file mine to keep?
Two ways. Buy the file on its own: finish your design and pay £9.99 for the print-ready PDF, though you give up the right to cancel as soon as you start downloading it. Or order printing, and a full resolution PDF of the design travels with the order, waiting for you in your confirmation email and under My Account once you have paid. Make the artwork for these banners the same size as the one you order, such as 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm). Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you. On its opening option, Exhibition Banners leaves us after 6 working days on Saver.
Is PVC-free banner material any good, and when should I use it?
PVC-free is a 400gsm material with no PVC in it at all. It prints in the same full colour and is well suited to indoor displays, shops, exhibitions and short-term jobs. If it is going outside for a long time, or somewhere with a lot of wind, the 440gsm PVC or mesh stands up better. Both are priced on the page, so you can check the same size in each material before you decide. We print these banners on 400gsm PVC Free. Before delivery, these banners cost from £34.86.
Would Exhibition Banners be useful for mechanics and garages?
Yes: Exhibition Banners sit in our Mechanics & Garages section, next to other things mechanics and garages buy for garages, forecourts and service bays. Prices begin at £34.86. 12 sizes are listed, starting at 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm). They are made from 400gsm PVC free. Also in that section: MOT & Service Reminder Stickers and Letterheads. One basket can hold the lot, and delivery is free once the goods reach £100.
We have a school fair coming up. Would these banners be suitable?
Yes. Tie them to railings, a fence or a gazebo, or stand them on an easel. If you are outside and the wind picks up, check the fixings again during the day. Leave time for making and delivery before the date of the fair. You will also find these banners in our Mechanics & Garages section. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you. For reference, Exhibition Banners are listed in 12 sizes, the smallest being 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm).
I run a small shop. Would these banners work on the front of it?
A cafe, salon, market stall or corner shop can put these banners to good use out front. A PVC banner on the fascia or railings is a fast way to shout about an opening or an offer. For scale, 6 ft 7 in × 3 ft 3 in (2000 × 1000 mm) is £58.76. Large or lit signs may need advertisement consent from the council, and your landlord may have a say. You will also find these banners in our Mechanics & Garages section.
Would these banners look right inside a hall or a shop?
Yes. PVC hangs flat and the print comes out crisp, so it suits school halls, church halls, receptions, stage fronts and indoor events. There is also a 400gsm PVC-free material on this product, a good pick for inside if you would rather avoid PVC. Inside you can skip the ties altogether. Hang it by the eyelets from hooks or a length of cord, or use hanging strips that peel off cleanly. You will also find these banners in our Mechanics & Garages section. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
Could we put these banners up on a building site or around works?
Short term or in a sheltered spot, a banner is fine. For weeks on open fencing, switch to mesh, which lets the wind through. Whoever puts them up should tie off every fixing point firmly and check again once the wind has been blowing. You will also find these banners in our Mechanics & Garages section. Before delivery, these banners cost from £34.86. On its opening option, Exhibition Banners leaves us after 6 working days on Saver.
Can you explain the eyelets setting for Exhibition Banners?
Eyelets are the little rings set into the border so a tie or bungee can go through. If it is staying outside for weeks or months, go for metal, which lasts longer than plastic. For Exhibition Banners the list runs metal eyelets or plastic eyelets. Try each one on the page: the figure changes as you click, so the cost of every choice is clear.
Which hemming would you suggest for Exhibition Banners?
Hemming turns the edge over and welds it down, so the eyelets grip a double layer and the border is far less likely to rip. For anything facing the weather it is money well spent. For Exhibition Banners the list runs Hemmed Edges or none. Try each one on the page: the figure changes as you click, so the cost of every choice is clear.
Does the cable ties option I choose make a difference to Exhibition Banners?
The cable ties option has 3 settings: 2 bags, 1 bag or none. Add a bag or two of ties and you will not be hunting for them on the day you hang it. Do the four corners first, then work along every eyelet. Switch between them on the page and the total updates straight away, so you can see what each one adds. We print these banners on 400gsm PVC Free. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
How should I keep these banners between uses?
Make sure it is bone dry and clean, then roll it up loosely with the print on the outside, round a cardboard tube if one is handy. Try not to fold it, because sharp folds leave creases and the ink can crack along them. Snip off old cable ties before rolling so they do not press marks into the print, and store the roll in a dry cupboard well clear of radiators. We print these banners on 400gsm PVC Free. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you.
Is it legal to hang these banners on a fence or building I do not own?
Only with the owner's say-so, so ask the landowner or building owner before anything goes up. In England, outdoor banners are adverts in the eyes of the 2007 Control of Advertisements Regulations. Plenty of temporary banners need no application, but the size, the location and how long it is left up all count. Your local council can tell you if you are in doubt. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland each have similar rules of their own. We print these banners on 400gsm PVC Free. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you.
Our club needs a big batch of banners, or an odd size. Can you price it?
Yes. Fill in our Get a quote page, giving the size, how many, the material, when you need them and the delivery postcode, and attach your artwork if it is ready. A price comes back to you by email. You may not need a quote at all: Exhibition Banners can be ordered in your own size from 300 mm up to 5000 × 3000 mm right on the page.
We need a few different designs. Do they each need their own order?
No. Each design goes into the basket as a separate line with its own file or online design, and you pay for them all in one checkout. Delivery is counted once for the whole order and costs nothing when the goods reach £100. If two lines share the same artwork, pick the artwork option that reuses a file already in your basket, so any design fee is only paid once. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you.
I am not sure which options to pick for these banners. Can someone advise me?
Yes. Type your question into the box on this page and a real person replies. Mention where the banner will be used, how long you need it to last and the date you need it by. Answered questions may be shown on the page for other buyers, so leave personal details out of it. Private questions can go through the Contact page, and anything the options here cannot price can go through the Get a quote page. Before delivery, these banners cost from £34.86.
Do I have to register before I can buy?
There is no need to sign up. Pay as a guest with a bank card, handled securely by Stripe, and you still get an order confirmation email and a tracking email on dispatch. An account is optional; it just keeps your order history in one place, along with downloads of designs you made online. The parcel turned up damaged. How do I sort it out?
Take photos of the damage and the box it came in, then send them through the contact form within 48 hours of delivery, with your order number. Hold on to the item rather than posting it back; we reply and arrange a reprint or refund. This sits alongside your legal rights, which the returns page covers. Choose Saver and these banners leave us after 6 working days; Express brings that down to 2.
Bleed and dpi mean nothing to me. Can I still get printing done?
Yes. You do not need any print knowledge to order Exhibition Banners. Send us your words and logo with the typesetting option (£15) and we build the layout, then you get a first draft and two rounds of changes. If you would rather make it yourself, the online designer checks the technical side as you go. Whatever you choose, a real person looks at the file before printing.
We have several sponsors for our charity event. Can their logos all go on these banners?
Yes. Line the logos up along the bottom or in a row, keep them all a similar size so nobody feels left out, and hold them 50 mm in from the edges. Short of time? Our typesetting service (£15) or a design worked up from your notes (£35) can put it together for you, with one first draft and two rounds of changes. If a sponsor only has a blurry logo, we can rebuild it for £30. If you have no file, you can build the design for these banners in our free online designer and check every detail before ordering. Material choices for Exhibition Banners: 400gsm PVC Free.

Review Exhibition Banners
How we handle reviews
Only people who bought the product can review it. Each review is checked against a real order and marked "Verified owner".
We publish every genuine review, good or bad, exactly as it was written. We never edit reviews or choose which ones to show. The only reviews we hold back are spam, abuse, or ones that include personal details like a phone number or email address.
The star rating is the average of every published review. We never pay for reviews or give discounts or gifts in return for them.
Reviews show the reviewer's first name and initial. To have your own review taken down, contact us.
