Handy print for Nottingham jobs

6 favourites for Nottingham, each priced on the option its page opens with. Cheapest of the bunch: PVC Banners from £34.60; size and material are picked on its own page.

Goose Fair and market stalls #

Goose Fair takes over the Forest every October, and traders need to stand out among the rides and the lights. A PVC banner goes across the stall front, tied on through the eyelets. A feather flag or teardrop flag adds height, so people spot you from the other end of the row. Ask the organiser what bases are allowed before you buy.

Sizing up a stall #

Measure the stall front, then knock a bit off so the banner does not flap past the edges. Big stalls suit 8 ft by 2 ft; a trestle table suits 6 ft by 2 ft or so. Pick one message, your name and what you sell, and let the flag do the waving. Price lists belong on a board you can change, not on the banner. Leave the year off too, and the same banner earns its keep at the Christmas market and next October.

Printing in Nottingham for students #

Nottingham Trent and the University of Nottingham fill the city every September. A roller banner is the easiest stall display going: pull it up, done, and roll it away at the end of the day. Society treasurers who need paperwork can grab a written quote from the Get a quote page.

Venues and sport #

  • Motorpoint Arena Nottingham: fan banners and promo boards for gigs and events.
  • East Midlands Conference Centre: delegates want a roller banner and a backdrop banner for the stage.
  • Trent Bridge: cricket banners for sponsors and supporters.
  • The City Ground: match-day flags and banners.

Shops, trades and landlords #

Shops go for shop signs and sale banners. Tradespeople and builders use Correx boards for site signs and yard boards, and landlords use them for to-let signs. Event banners cover the rest: fun days, open days, charity walks and the neighbour’s surprise 60th. Same rules everywhere: big words, few of them, strong colours.

Putting a banner up outside #

Outdoor adverts here come under England’s 2007 advertisement regulations. Short-term banners often need no permission, but if yours is going on a wall or by a road, have a word with Nottingham City Council.

How it is madeA person checks every uploaded file for free, then your order is made to order and dispatched from the UK. We have no shop or office in Nottingham.

Sending it to a venue? Got a stand at the conference centre on University Park, or working a show at the Motorpoint Arena? Venues run their own goods-in rules, so find those out before you pick an address. The office is often the safest bet.

Nottingham orders: your questions

Does FatPrint have a shop in Nottingham?

Nope. FatPrint is an online print business with nowhere to walk into in the city. Everything is made to order and leaves by tracked courier from within the UK.

What will it cost to send my order?

£7.95 a parcel to any NG postcode, or free once the order tops £100 after discounts (artwork fees do not count towards it). Items longer than 3 m, or boards beyond A0, carry a £15 surcharge.

What should a Goose Fair trader get?

A banner with eyelets for the stall front and a tall flag so you can be found from further down the row. The organiser has the final say on flag bases and banner sizes, so ask them first.

We are a student society. Can we order?

Of course. Put your society's name in the checkout notes. If the students' union needs a quote or a PO before it pays, request one from the Get a quote page.

How soon will it get here?

Making time for each turnaround is listed on the product page and starts once we have a confirmed order plus usable artwork. Then the courier normally needs one to three working days.
