We add up today's price for each of the four items, then take off up to 10%, only as far as our lowest allowed price (cost plus 50%). Labels and stationery are already at that lowest price, so today the pack costs the same as buying the items separately. If an item's own price changes, the pack price follows it.

Does the starter pack really cost less than buying the items one by one?
Not at the moment. We add up what each item costs today on its own product page, then take off up to 10%, only as far as our lowest allowed price (cost plus 50%). Can I swap the PAT labels for a different size or add more cards?
Not within the pack, as its contents are fixed. If you need other sizes or quantities, buy each item from its own page instead.
Do I have to enter my company details separately for each item?
No. You fill them in once, company name, phone number, registration number and logo, and they appear on every item in the pack, from the PAT labels to the invoice books.
Will you put my registration scheme's logo on the labels and cards?
We cannot, because those logos are licensed only to scheme members. What we do print is your registration number, as plain text, alongside your own company logo.
I have no artwork yet. Can you design the cards and invoice books?
Yes. The artwork section has design choices to pick from. Each is a fixed fee, and it shows up as a separate line in your basket so you can see exactly what it costs.
How long before the whole starter pack arrives?
Everything is produced fresh for you, and the page gives the working days for the slowest item, counted from when we confirm your artwork and order. The pack comes to more than £100, so UK mainland delivery is free; remote areas are quoted.

Is delivery ever free?

Northern Ireland has its delivery priced before you pay, and so do the Channel Islands, the Scottish islands, Scilly, the Isle of Wight and the Isle of Man.
I cannot design at all. Can someone make the artwork for me?
Yes. When you choose the Artwork option you can pick from: we fill in your details on every item in the pack (no charge), send your own finished file (no charge), we design it from your brief (£35), we redraw a blurry or low quality logo as sharp vector art (£30) or we create a brand new logo (£50). Each fee is fixed, sits as its own line in your basket and covers every item on that line. Typesetting and design from a brief each come with one first draft and two rounds of changes. Do I have to send artwork for every item in the Electrician Starter Pack?

Which file formats can I upload?
A PDF made at the size you ordered works best, with the fonts embedded or turned into outlines. AI, EPS and SVG are fine too, as are high resolution JPG, PNG or TIFF images. Word, PowerPoint or Canva designs can be used, but save them out as a full quality PDF where you can. Attach up to 3 files of up to 25 MB each on the product page, or order first and send them afterwards; we email you a link. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each pack is made to order for you.
Our wording is not finished yet. Can I still pay now and send it later?
Yes. Pay now and add the file afterwards: uploading after ordering is allowed, so you do not have to wait for the final version. If a volunteer, friend or designer is preparing it, they can send the finished file to you to upload, or get in touch through our Contact page quoting your order number. Nothing goes to print until the file arrives and has been checked, so if there is a date to hit, get the artwork over as soon as you can. I am not a designer. What if the file I send turns out to be unusable?
You will not be left guessing. Each uploaded file is opened and looked over by a member of the team, and problems such as low-resolution pictures, no bleed or the wrong page size are sent back to you to fix before printing. Will anyone look at my file before it is printed?

Which cards do you take, and is paying online safe?
You pay by debit or credit card when you check out, and you can do it as a guest without making an account. Card details are handled by Stripe, a specialist payment company, so the full card number never reaches us or sits on our system. Printing starts after payment goes through and your file has been checked. If your group needs a price agreed before anyone pays, ask for a quote instead. Can a volunteer order without setting up an account?
Yes. There is a guest checkout, so a one-off order does not need a login. Payment is by debit or credit card, processed by Stripe. Will my logo colours come out the same as on screen?
Very close, but not always identical. A screen glows, print reflects light, so a small difference is normal. Sending CMYK artwork keeps it nearest; RGB is changed to CMYK before printing and the brightest greens, blues and oranges can look a touch flatter. How should we keep this pack in good condition until we need it?
Flat, dry and dark is the rule. Leave them in their box, away from damp, direct sun and heaters. Damp paper curls and can jam a printer, while sunlight slowly fades the ink. Take a handful at a time and keep the rest boxed. Before delivery, this pack costs from £114.89.
