Folded Menus

Thick card makes a menu that feels like it belongs in a restaurant, not a takeaway bag. The catch is that heavy laminated card does not like being folded by hand. So these menus are creased: a line is pressed into the sheet so it bends neatly where you want it, with no cracked edges.

The crease options in plain English

• 1 crease. Folded once, giving four pages. Options include 4pp A4, 4pp A5, and long slim formats such as 105 × 297 mm, 74 × 210 mm and 148.5 × 420 mm.
• Gate crease. Two outer panels meet in the middle and open like doors, finishing at A4 or A5. Good for a tasting menu with a reveal inside.
• Z crease. A zigzag of three panels, giving 6 pages at a third of A4 or a third of A3.
• Roll crease. Three panels that tuck inside each other, again 6 pages at a third of A4 or A3.
• Creased to A6. A small folded card for a bar list or a dessert menu.

Folded menu printing: paper and lamination

Pick 250gsm Art Paper in gloss or silk, or 350gsm Art Board Silk for a stiffer menu that stands up on a table. Every option is laminated on both sides, in gloss for bright food photos or matt for a calmer look with less glare under restaurant lights. The lamination also means a spill can be wiped off rather than soaking in.
