Overview
Hanging banner printing without the faff: you choose the size and finish, the price shows as you go, and we print it to order.
Who orders these
Made for ceilings, beams, balconies and walls where the banner hangs rather than stretches. Charities use them at fun runs and fetes where the same banner has to work for years. Sports clubs tie them to the pitch-side rail on match days and keep them in the clubhouse between games.
How big?
For hanging banner printing: 13 sizes, from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) up to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm). Measure the space and take off a few centimetres each side for the fixings. If people read it from across a road, go for the deeper sizes: height helps more than width once the letters need to be seen from 20 metres away.
Materials for hanging banner printing
It is printed on 440gsm PVC, the standard tough banner vinyl. Extras in the options: eyelets in plastic or metal (metal is the tougher choice for banners that stay up outside), hemmed edges, where the edge is folded and welded for strength (worth having on anything going outside) and a bag or two of cable ties, so the fixings turn up with the banner.
Pull it tight before you tie off the last corner. A slack banner creases and looks tired within a week.

Your hanging banner printing is made to order and dispatched from the UK.

Mainland Highlands postcodes add £10; Northern Ireland, the islands, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, Scilly and the Isle of Wight are quoted. Questions
Quick answers about hanging banner printing.
Our church hall has a high ceiling. What do we use to hang a banner from it?
The top edge carries eyelets, so hook S hooks through them and run chain or cord up to the ceiling. Heaters and open doors can make a banner sway, so if yours moves about, tie off the lower edge too or add a little weight along it.
Which options does this banner have?
13 sizes from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), material (440gsm PVC), eyelets (plastic eyelets or metal eyelets), hemming (hemmed edges or none) and cable ties (none, 1 bag or 2 bags). Every combination is priced on this page, from £36.53.
What is the turnaround on my hanging banner order?
Express gets it out in 2 working days, Standard ships after 4 working days and Saver, the lowest price, after 6 working days. The clock starts once your order is placed and the file is confirmed. Mainland UK delivery adds £7.95 to the basket, and nothing once the goods reach £100 after any discount code.
How big do these come?
Smallest is 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm), largest is 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), with 11 more in between, including 4 ft 11 in × 1 ft 8 in (1500 × 500 mm). Measure your space first so your hanging banner fits. Prices start at £36.53 and change with the size you pick.
Which material is used for the hanging banners?
Full colour print on 440gsm PVC. Prices start at £36.53. If you are after a different material, message us from the Contact page.
Is there a discount if I buy more?
Usually, yes: the more you order, the less each one tends to cost. Anything from 1 up to 99 is priced on this page for your hanging banner order. Spend £100 on goods (design fees are not counted) and UK mainland delivery is free; otherwise it is £7.95 once.
Asked by buyers
How much will Hanging Banners set me back?
£36.53 is where Hanging Banners start, set up as 440gsm PVC and 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) on the Saver speed. Change the size, material, extras, quantity or speed and the total on the page moves straight away. The price you see is the price you pay at checkout, with delivery the only thing that can be added. Delivery anywhere on the UK mainland is £7.95 an order, and it costs nothing once the goods come to £100 or more after any discount code (design and artwork fees are not counted).
If I buy Hanging Banners today, when will they leave you?
As the page first opens, the speeds for Hanging Banners are Express 2 working days, Standard 4 and Saver 6, counting Monday to Friday and skipping bank holidays. The count begins once we have your order and a file ready to print. A bigger size or a different material can move it by a day either way; each speed shows its own days as you choose. Tracking arrives by email on the day it ships, and the courier usually takes one to three working days from there.
Is delivery ever free?
It is £7.95 for the whole order, not per item, and free once the goods reach £100 after any discount code; design or artwork charges are left out of that £100. On its own the opening price of £36.53 would add £7.95 for mainland delivery; reach £100 of goods and that goes to zero. Pick one of the biggest sizes and a one-off £15 oversize charge applies. A mainland Highlands postcode puts a single £10 on the order. Northern Ireland has its delivery priced before you pay, and so do the Channel Islands, the Scottish islands, Scilly, the Isle of Wight and the Isle of Man. The biggest sizes of these banners go by specialist courier, which adds £15 once to the order.
Could I lay out these banners myself on your website?
Yes. Start the designer from this page, choose a layout to begin with, then drop in your text, logo and photos and drag them where you want. It checks as you go and warns you about leftover sample text, lettering that is too small, anything outside the safe area and images too low in resolution, all before you finish. Designing and previewing costs nothing. The watermark you see on screen is never printed; once you finish, it goes into the basket. Make the artwork for these banners the same size as the one you order, such as 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm). Material choices for Hanging Banners: 440gsm PVC.
Which is the smallest and which the biggest banner I can order here?
Smallest: 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm), from £36.53. Biggest: 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), from £161.77. 10 more are listed in between, each priced on the cheapest options. Need something in between? Type in your own width and height, anywhere from 300 mm to 5000 by 3000 mm. Not sure which? Mark the space out with tape or string first and stand back to look. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
Which size of Hanging Banners gets noticed from across the street?
Grab a tape measure and stand where your visitors will stand. If they are walking past a few metres away, a modest size does the job; if they are across a car park or a road, go bigger. Choices here go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm) at the big end. Somewhere in between? A made-to-measure piece can be as small as 300 mm or as large as 5000 by 3000 mm. On its opening option, Hanging Banners leaves us after 6 working days on Saver.
Will these banners survive being left outside?
Rain is not a problem. The 440gsm PVC used here is a solid vinyl that water runs straight off, and it is meant for outdoor jobs such as shop fronts, club railings, walls and fetes. Sun, wind and the way it is tied up decide how many months it looks good. A hem round the edge, metal eyelets rather than plastic, and every hole tied all make a real difference. Where it faces a strong wind on open fencing or scaffolding, mesh copes better because the air goes through. We print these banners on 440gsm PVC.
Is there a knack to tying up these banners?
Corners go first, which keeps it level, then the rest of the eyelets along the top and bottom edges. Pull each fixing just firm enough to take up the slack without stretching the banner. Cable ties, bungees and rope all work; bungees have a bit of stretch, useful for solid PVC on a windy railing. Check it again after the first gusty day and replace anything that has snapped. We print these banners on 440gsm PVC. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53.
How much does an 8 ft × 3 ft (2438 × 914 mm) banner cost?
From £64.91, with the cheapest settings and the Saver service. Add £7.95 for UK mainland delivery, or nothing at all once the goods reach £100. Select it on the page and swap materials, finishes and speed to watch how the figure moves. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you.
Can a private person buy a single banner?
Yes. One is enough, and you do not need a business name or an account to check out. The opening price is £36.53, and any bank card will do. On its own the opening price of £36.53 would add £7.95 for mainland delivery; reach £100 of goods and that goes to zero. A person still checks your file before it is printed, just as for a big order. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
We are a school PTA on a tight budget. How do we get a banner for the summer fair as cheaply as possible?
Start with the smallest size, 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm), from £36.53, and the Saver turnaround, which is the lowest price and takes 6 working days before it is sent. Putting the design together yourself on screen costs nothing. Leave the year off so it can go up again next summer. The price you see is the price you pay at checkout, with delivery the only thing that can be added. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53.
How much for the biggest size, 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm)?
From £161.77, with the cheapest settings and the Saver service. That clears the £100 mark on its own, so UK mainland delivery costs nothing. Select it on the page and swap materials, finishes and speed to watch how the figure moves. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53.
Could the total go up after I reach the checkout?
The only thing that can join the goods price is delivery; the price you see is the price you pay at checkout. Delivery anywhere on the UK mainland is £7.95 an order, and it costs nothing once the goods come to £100 or more after any discount code (design and artwork fees are not counted). If you pick a paid design option, it sits in the basket as a separate line with its own fee, so every penny is listed before you pay. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you.
Is there a minimum quantity for these banners?
The smallest order is 1 and the largest listed is 99; the list starts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and carries on from there. The price on the page covers every item in that quantity. To compare two quantities fairly, split each total by its number. A bigger run than the list allows can be priced separately on our Get a quote page. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53.
Is there a quicker turnaround for these banners?
Work back from the day you need them. Express takes 2 working days to get Hanging Banners out, against 6 on Saver, and costs £48.70 on the opening option rather than £36.53. Add up to three working days for the courier, plus any time you need to finish the file. Cutting it fine? Put your date in the question box before you order.
I live in the Scottish Highlands. Will Hanging Banners cost more to send?
The whole UK is covered. Outside it, sadly, we cannot deliver. Mainland addresses in the Highlands pay one extra £10 on the order, even when delivery would otherwise be free. For Northern Ireland, and for the Channel Islands, the Scottish islands, Scilly, the Isle of Wight and the Isle of Man, we tell you the delivery cost before you pay, so message us your postcode on the Contact page or our Get a quote page. Choose Saver and these banners leave us after 6 working days; Express brings that down to 2. The biggest sizes of these banners go by specialist courier, which adds £15 once to the order. On its opening option, Hanging Banners leaves us after 6 working days on Saver.
I am not a designer. What if the file I send turns out to be unusable?
You will not be left guessing. Each uploaded file is opened and looked over by a member of the team, and problems such as low-resolution pictures, no bleed or the wrong page size are sent back to you to fix before printing. If fixing it sounds like a chore, choose typesetting for £15: we lay out your text and logo, show you a first draft, then make up to two rounds of changes. Make the artwork for these banners the same size as the one you order, such as 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm).
Will anyone look at my file before it is printed?
Every file gets a human check for size, bleed and resolution, and we contact you about any problem before printing. With the online designer, what you see on screen is what gets printed. Nobody can know your details better than you, so double-check names, numbers and dates: we print what is supplied, and work begins once the order and file are confirmed. If you have no file, you can build the design for these banners in our free online designer and check every detail before ordering.
How tall do the letters need to be so people can read these banners from a distance?
Start from how far back your readers will be. Capital letters 25 mm tall are good for roughly 3 m, so 240 mm capitals reach somewhere near 29 m. On a banner measuring 6 ft × 3 ft (1829 × 914 mm), that is one line of text once a 50 mm border is kept all round, leaving 814 mm of height. Add a smaller second line only if you really need it, and pick a thick, plain font. Make the artwork for these banners the same size as the one you order, such as 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm).
Which file formats can I upload?
A PDF made at the size you ordered works best, with the fonts embedded or turned into outlines. AI, EPS and SVG are fine too, as are high resolution JPG, PNG or TIFF images. Word, PowerPoint or Canva designs can be used, but save them out as a full quality PDF where you can. Attach up to 3 files of up to 25 MB each on the product page, or order first and send them afterwards; we email you a link. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
How many pixels does a photo need to print well on these banners?
Roughly 11,811 pixels across and 7,874 down for a 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm) design, which is 100 dpi. That is plenty for something people read from a few metres away; anywhere from 100 to 150 dpi at full size will do. Text and logos are safest as vector art, which never goes fuzzy. Pictures saved from a website or social media are nearly always too small, and our file check will point out any that could print blurred. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
Once I finish designing these banners online, is the file mine to keep?
Yes. Order printing with an online design and a full resolution PDF comes with it; after payment you can download it from your confirmation email or from My Account. Just want the file? Finish the design and buy the print-ready PDF on its own for £9.99. As digital content, it cannot be cancelled once the download begins. Make the artwork for these banners the same size as the one you order, such as 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm). Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you.
We have a school fair coming up. Would these banners be suitable?
They work well fixed to railings, fencing, a gazebo or an easel. Outdoors, look at the fixings again if it turns windy. Order with enough time for the making and the courier before the event. You will also find these banners in our Mechanics & Garages section. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53.
I run a small shop. Would these banners work on the front of it?
That works well. Tie a PVC banner to the fascia or a railing to announce a launch, a sale or something new you now offer. As a guide, 6 ft 7 in × 3 ft 3 in (2000 × 1000 mm) costs £61.49. Ask your landlord first, and the local council too if the sign is big or illuminated, as some shop signs need advertisement consent. You will also find these banners in our Mechanics & Garages section.
Would Hanging Banners be useful for mechanics and garages?
For garages, forecourts and service bays, look under Mechanics & Garages in the shop: Hanging Banners are listed there. Prices begin at £36.53; 12 sizes are listed, starting at 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm); they are made from 440gsm PVC. People buying for that kind of work often add NCR Invoice Books or Custom Logo Stickers. Put everything in one order and delivery is free at £100 or more.
Would these banners look right inside a hall or a shop?
Yes. PVC hangs flat and the print comes out crisp, so it suits school halls, church halls, receptions, stage fronts and indoor events. If you would rather avoid PVC indoors, our PVC-free banners are made in the same sizes. Inside you can skip the ties altogether. Hang it by the eyelets from hooks or a length of cord, or use hanging strips that peel off cleanly. You will also find these banners in our Mechanics & Garages section. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
Could we put these banners up on a building site or around works?
For a few days, or somewhere sheltered, yes. If the banner will hang on open fencing for weeks, a mesh banner copes far better because the wind passes through. Secure every eyelet or hole with a cable tie and look it over after a gusty spell. You will also find these banners in our Mechanics & Garages section. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all. Material choices for Hanging Banners: 440gsm PVC.
Our sports club wants to put these banners up on match days and take them down afterwards. Is that too much wear?
Yes, that is the kind of use it is made for. Tie it to the pitch-side rail through the eyelets, then snip or untie the ties at the end of the day and roll it up with the print on the outside. On a very exposed ground, mesh is kinder to the ties because wind passes through it. Keep it dry and rolled between fixtures and it will be ready for the next home game. You will also find these banners in our Mechanics & Garages section. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53.
Our spot gets windy. Is a PVC banner going to cope?
Think of solid PVC stretched along open fencing as a sail. Every gust presses on the whole sheet, and all that force ends up in the eyelets and the ties. So use every eyelet, pull it firm without stretching it, look at the ties again after the first blustery spell, and bring it in if a storm is on the way. If it has to stay up for weeks somewhere exposed, mesh is the better buy because much of the wind blows through it. We print these banners on 440gsm PVC. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53.
How do I pick the right hemming for Hanging Banners?
The hemming option has 2 settings: none or Hemmed Edges. Hemming turns the edge over and welds it down, so the eyelets grip a double layer and the border is far less likely to rip. For anything facing the weather it is money well spent. Switch between them on the page and the total updates straight away, so you can see what each one adds. We print these banners on 440gsm PVC. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53.
Can you explain the cable ties setting for Hanging Banners?
Add a bag or two of ties and you will not be hunting for them on the day you hang it. Do the four corners first, then work along every eyelet. For Hanging Banners the list runs 2 bags, 1 bag or none. Try each one on the page: the figure changes as you click, so the cost of every choice is clear.
Eyelets on Hanging Banners: how do the choices differ?
The eyelets option has 2 settings: metal eyelets or plastic eyelets. Eyelets are the little rings set into the border so a tie or bungee can go through. If it is staying outside for weeks or months, go for metal, which lasts longer than plastic. Switch between them on the page and the total updates straight away, so you can see what each one adds. We print these banners on 440gsm PVC. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
How should I keep these banners between uses?
Make sure it is bone dry and clean, then roll it up loosely with the print on the outside, round a cardboard tube if one is handy. Try not to fold it, because sharp folds leave creases and the ink can crack along them. Snip off old cable ties before rolling so they do not press marks into the print, and store the roll in a dry cupboard well clear of radiators. We print these banners on 440gsm PVC. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all. On this page, Hanging Banners start from £36.53.
Is it legal to hang these banners on a fence or building I do not own?
Only with the owner's say-so, so ask the landowner or building owner before anything goes up. In England, outdoor banners are adverts in the eyes of the 2007 Control of Advertisements Regulations. Plenty of temporary banners need no application, but the size, the location and how long it is left up all count. Your local council can tell you if you are in doubt. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland each have similar rules of their own. We print these banners on 440gsm PVC. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53.
Which cards do you take, and is paying online safe?
You pay by debit or credit card when you check out, and you can do it as a guest without making an account. Card details are handled by Stripe, a specialist payment company, so the full card number never reaches us or sits on our system. Printing starts after payment goes through and your file has been checked. If your group needs a price agreed before anyone pays, ask for a quote instead. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53.
We need a few different designs. Do they each need their own order?
One checkout covers the lot. Add a basket line for every design, attach the right file to each, then pay once. You pay a single delivery charge of £7.95 for the whole order, or nothing if the goods add up to £100 or more. Repeating one design on another line? Choose the artwork choice that points to a file already in the basket, and no second design fee is charged. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53.
Can I send these banners back if I no longer need them?
Not for a change of mind. These banners are made for your order, and goods made to your specification fall outside the 14-day cancellation right (reg. 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). You can still cancel and get all your money back before production begins. Anything faulty, damaged or wrong is covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and we reprint it or refund you. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
Can I design these banners first and show the committee before we pay?
Yes. The online designer is free to use, so you can build the design, look at it on screen and share it round before anyone commits. The preview carries a watermark on screen only; it never appears on the printed item. When everyone is happy, finish the design and order. What you see is what gets printed, so check names, dates and numbers together first. Make the artwork for these banners the same size as the one you order, such as 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm).
Which mistakes does the online designer warn me about?
Spelling is the one thing it cannot judge, so read that yourself. It does catch placeholder words nobody changed, tiny lettering, anything drifting beyond the safe area or near the trim, blurry logos and photos, and objects covering words. Issues that would spoil the print stop you finishing until they are sorted; lighter warnings you may choose to accept. Make the artwork for these banners the same size as the one you order, such as 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm).
I sell at a weekly market. Which banner fits along the front of a stall?
Look at the long, shallow sizes: 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) from £36.53 and 4 ft 11 in × 1 ft 8 in (1500 × 500 mm) from £37.53 sit well along a table front or the top rail of a gazebo. Measure the width of your stall first, then tie through the eyelets to the frame. Put your stall name in big letters and one line about what you sell; that is what shoppers take in as they walk past.

Review Hanging Banners
How we handle reviews
Only people who bought the product can review it. Each review is checked against a real order and marked "Verified owner".
We publish every genuine review, good or bad, exactly as it was written. We never edit reviews or choose which ones to show. The only reviews we hold back are spam, abuse, or ones that include personal details like a phone number or email address.
The star rating is the average of every published review. We never pay for reviews or give discounts or gifts in return for them.
Reviews show the reviewer's first name and initial. To have your own review taken down, contact us.
