Overview
Our business banner printing is for anyone who needs a banner that looks sharp and lasts the job.
Business banner printing: material and finishing
We print it on 440gsm PVC, the standard tough banner vinyl. Extras in the options: eyelets in plastic or metal (metal is the tougher choice for banners that stay up outside), hemmed edges, where the edge is folded and welded for strength (worth having on anything going outside) and a bag or two of cable ties, so the fixings turn up with the banner.
Good jobs for it
Made for shop fronts, vans parked at jobs, stands and workplaces. A café can hang one over the door to announce a new menu, then roll it up for next year. Charities use them at fun runs and fetes where the same banner has to work for years.
How big?
For business banner printing: 13 sizes, from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) up to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm). Measure the space and take off a few centimetres each side for the fixings. If people read it from across a road, go for the deeper sizes: height helps more than width once the letters need to be seen from 20 metres away.
Cable ties through the eyelets are the quickest way up on railings and fences; on a wall, use screws with washers or hooks.
Artwork and timing
Got artwork? Upload it. No artwork? Use the online designer, or our paid artwork service (1 design, 2 rounds of changes). Either way a person looks over the file first, free. Standard production is 4 working days from when your order and artwork are confirmed. Express gets it done from 2 working days. Saver takes 6 and is there if you are not in a rush. Every business banner printing order is printed to order and sent straight to you from the UK.
We charge £7.95 to send it anywhere on the UK mainland, and nothing once your goods come to £100 or more after discounts. The Highlands add £10, and addresses in Northern Ireland, the Scottish islands, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, Scilly or the Isle of Wight get a quote. The sizes over 3 m on any side go by specialist courier, which adds £15 once per order. Full details are on the delivery page.

Questions
Quick answers about business banner printing.
I run a small hair salon. Which business banner size makes sense above the window?
Start with a tape measure across the window or fascia. For most salons and small shops, 6 ft × 3 ft (1829 × 914 mm) or 8 ft × 3 ft (2438 × 914 mm) sits neatly. A wider frontage, such as a double unit or a long run of railings, usually wants 10 ft × 3 ft (3048 × 914 mm) or a bigger size.
What happens after I order?
FatPrint receives it, a person checks your file, then your business banner is made to order and handed to the courier. You get tracking by email the day it ships. Got a question first? Ask in the box on this page and a person answers.
Can I order several banners at once?
Yes. Anything from 1 up to 99 is priced on this page. The price per piece usually drops as the number goes up, which helps clubs and shops ordering in bulk. Spend £100 on goods (design fees are not counted) and UK mainland delivery is free; otherwise it is £7.95 once.
Can I check the cost before I order?
It starts at £36.53, the cheapest combination, and changes as you pick options. The price you see is the price you pay at checkout. Postage to the UK mainland is £7.95 per basket, not per item, and free when your goods total £100 or more.
Is the price shown for my business banner order the full price?
Yes, for the goods. The price you see is the price you pay at checkout. Delivery, if any, is shown before you pay.
Will someone look at my file before the business banner is printed?
Yes. A person checks every file you upload before printing starts, looking at resolution, bleed and whether the text will come out cleanly. Paid help is there too: a clean layout from your text and logo (£15), a design from your brief (£35) or a logo redraw (£30), each with one first draft and two rounds of changes.
Asked by buyers
How much will Business Banners set me back?
£36.53 is where Business Banners start, set up as 440gsm PVC and 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) on the Saver speed. Change the size, material, extras, quantity or speed and the total on the page moves straight away. The price you see is the price you pay at checkout, with delivery the only thing that can be added. Delivery anywhere on the UK mainland is £7.95 an order, and it costs nothing once the goods come to £100 or more after any discount code (design and artwork fees are not counted).
If I buy Business Banners today, when will they leave you?
As the page first opens, the speeds for Business Banners are Express 2 working days, Standard 4 and Saver 6, counting Monday to Friday and skipping bank holidays. The count begins once we have your order and a file ready to print. A bigger size or a different material can move it by a day either way; each speed shows its own days as you choose. Tracking arrives by email on the day it ships, and the courier usually takes one to three working days from there.
Does banner artwork need bleed the way a flyer does?
Think of it as a margin more than a bleed. Run the background right off every edge, then pull every word and logo a good 50 mm inwards, clear of the folded hem and the eyelets. Set the file up at full size or an exact scale like 1:10, with images between 100 and 150 dpi once scaled up. The online editor draws the eyelets and the safe area on screen so you can see where they fall. Make the artwork for these banners the same size as the one you order, such as 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm).
Could I lay out these banners myself on your website?
Yes. Start the designer from this page, choose a layout to begin with, then drop in your text, logo and photos and drag them where you want. It checks as you go and warns you about leftover sample text, lettering that is too small, anything outside the safe area and images too low in resolution, all before you finish. Designing and previewing costs nothing. The watermark you see on screen is never printed; once you finish, it goes into the basket. Make the artwork for these banners the same size as the one you order, such as 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm). Material choices for Business Banners: 440gsm PVC.
Which size of Business Banners gets noticed from across the street?
Grab a tape measure and stand where your visitors will stand. If they are walking past a few metres away, a modest size does the job; if they are across a car park or a road, go bigger. Choices here go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm) at the big end. Somewhere in between? A made-to-measure piece can be as small as 300 mm or as large as 5000 by 3000 mm. On its opening option, Business Banners leaves us after 6 working days on Saver.
Will these banners survive being left outside?
Rain is not a problem. The 440gsm PVC used here is a solid vinyl that water runs straight off, and it is meant for outdoor jobs such as shop fronts, club railings, walls and fetes. Sun, wind and the way it is tied up decide how many months it looks good. A hem round the edge, metal eyelets rather than plastic, and every hole tied all make a real difference. Where it faces a strong wind on open fencing or scaffolding, mesh copes better because the air goes through. We print these banners on 440gsm PVC. For reference, Business Banners are listed in 12 sizes, the smallest being 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm).
Is there a knack to tying up these banners?
Corners go first, which keeps it level, then the rest of the eyelets along the top and bottom edges. Pull each fixing just firm enough to take up the slack without stretching the banner. Cable ties, bungees and rope all work; bungees have a bit of stretch, useful for solid PVC on a windy railing. Check it again after the first gusty day and replace anything that has snapped. We print these banners on 440gsm PVC. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
Is there a minimum quantity for these banners?
The smallest order is 1 and the largest listed is 99; the list starts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and carries on from there. The price on the page covers every item in that quantity. To compare two quantities fairly, split each total by its number. A bigger run than the list allows can be priced separately on our Get a quote page. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
How much for the biggest size, 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm)?
From £161.77, with the cheapest settings and the Saver service. That clears the £100 mark on its own, so UK mainland delivery costs nothing. Select it on the page and swap materials, finishes and speed to watch how the figure moves. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53.
We are a school PTA on a tight budget. How do we get a banner for the summer fair as cheaply as possible?
Start with the smallest size, 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm), from £36.53, and the Saver turnaround, which is the lowest price and takes 6 working days before it is sent. Putting the design together yourself on screen costs nothing. Leave the year off so it can go up again next summer. The price you see is the price you pay at checkout, with delivery the only thing that can be added. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53. Material choices for Business Banners: 440gsm PVC.
Can a private person buy a single banner?
Yes. One is enough, and you do not need a business name or an account to check out. The opening price is £36.53, and any bank card will do. On its own the opening price of £36.53 would add £7.95 for mainland delivery; reach £100 of goods and that goes to zero. A person still checks your file before it is printed, just as for a big order. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you.
Could the total go up after I reach the checkout?
The only thing that can join the goods price is delivery; the price you see is the price you pay at checkout. Delivery anywhere on the UK mainland is £7.95 an order, and it costs nothing once the goods come to £100 or more after any discount code (design and artwork fees are not counted). If you pick a paid design option, it sits in the basket as a separate line with its own fee, so every penny is listed before you pay. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you. Material choices for Business Banners: 440gsm PVC.
How much does an 8 ft × 3 ft (2438 × 914 mm) banner cost?
From £64.91, with the cheapest settings and the Saver service. Add £7.95 for UK mainland delivery, or nothing at all once the goods reach £100. For reference, Business Banners are listed in 12 sizes, the smallest being 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm).
I live in the Scottish Highlands. Will Business Banners cost more to send?
The whole UK is covered. Outside it, sadly, we cannot deliver. Mainland addresses in the Highlands pay one extra £10 on the order, even when delivery would otherwise be free. For Northern Ireland, and for the Channel Islands, the Scottish islands, Scilly, the Isle of Wight and the Isle of Man, we tell you the delivery cost before you pay, so message us your postcode on the Contact page or our Get a quote page. Choose Saver and these banners leave us after 6 working days; Express brings that down to 2. The biggest sizes of these banners go by specialist courier, which adds £15 once to the order. On its opening option, Business Banners leaves us after 6 working days on Saver.
Is there a quicker turnaround for these banners?
Work back from the day you need them. Express takes 2 working days to get Business Banners out, against 6 on Saver, and costs £48.70 on the opening option rather than £36.53. Add up to three working days for the courier, plus any time you need to finish the file. Cutting it fine? Put your date in the question box before you order.
I am not a designer. What if the file I send turns out to be unusable?
You will not be left guessing. Each uploaded file is opened and looked over by a member of the team, and problems such as low-resolution pictures, no bleed or the wrong page size are sent back to you to fix before printing. If fixing it sounds like a chore, choose typesetting for £15: we lay out your text and logo, show you a first draft, then make up to two rounds of changes. If you have no file, you can build the design for these banners in our free online designer and check every detail before ordering. On this page, Business Banners start from £36.53.
How tall do the letters need to be so people can read these banners from a distance?
Start from how far back your readers will be. Capital letters 25 mm tall are good for roughly 3 m, so 240 mm capitals reach somewhere near 29 m. On a banner measuring 6 ft × 3 ft (1829 × 914 mm), that is one line of text once a 50 mm border is kept all round, leaving 814 mm of height. Add a smaller second line only if you really need it, and pick a thick, plain font. If you have no file, you can build the design for these banners in our free online designer and check every detail before ordering.
Once I finish designing these banners online, is the file mine to keep?
Yes. Order printing with an online design and a full resolution PDF comes with it; after payment you can download it from your confirmation email or from My Account. Just want the file? Finish the design and buy the print-ready PDF on its own for £9.99. As digital content, it cannot be cancelled once the download begins. Make the artwork for these banners the same size as the one you order, such as 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm). Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53. For reference, Business Banners are listed in 12 sizes, the smallest being 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm).
We have a school fair coming up. Would these banners be suitable?
They work well fixed to railings, fencing, a gazebo or an easel. Outdoors, look at the fixings again if it turns windy. Order with enough time for the making and the courier before the event. You will also find these banners in our Mechanics & Garages section. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you. On its opening option, Business Banners leaves us after 6 working days on Saver.
Our sports club wants to put these banners up on match days and take them down afterwards. Is that too much wear?
Yes, that is the kind of use it is made for. Tie it to the pitch-side rail through the eyelets, then snip or untie the ties at the end of the day and roll it up with the print on the outside. On a very exposed ground, mesh is kinder to the ties because wind passes through it. Keep it dry and rolled between fixtures and it will be ready for the next home game. You will also find these banners in our Mechanics & Garages section. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you.
Could we put these banners up on a building site or around works?
For a few days, or somewhere sheltered, yes. If the banner will hang on open fencing for weeks, a mesh banner copes far better because the wind passes through. Secure every eyelet or hole with a cable tie and look it over after a gusty spell. You will also find these banners in our Mechanics & Garages section. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53.
Do mechanics and garages buy Business Banners from you?
For garages, forecourts and service bays, look under Mechanics & Garages in the shop: Business Banners are listed there. Prices begin at £36.53; 12 sizes are listed, starting at 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm); they are made from 440gsm PVC. People buying for that kind of work often add Compliment Slips or A3 Magnetic Signs. Put everything in one order and delivery is free at £100 or more.
Would these banners look right inside a hall or a shop?
Yes. PVC hangs flat and the print comes out crisp, so it suits school halls, church halls, receptions, stage fronts and indoor events. If you would rather avoid PVC indoors, our PVC-free banners are made in the same sizes. Inside you can skip the ties altogether. Hang it by the eyelets from hooks or a length of cord, or use hanging strips that peel off cleanly. You will also find these banners in our Mechanics & Garages section. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you. On this page, Business Banners start from £36.53.
I run a small shop. Would these banners work on the front of it?
That works well. Tie a PVC banner to the fascia or a railing to announce a launch, a sale or something new you now offer. As a guide, 6 ft 7 in × 3 ft 3 in (2000 × 1000 mm) costs £61.49. Ask your landlord first, and the local council too if the sign is big or illuminated, as some shop signs need advertisement consent. You will also find these banners in our Mechanics & Garages section. Material choices for Business Banners: 440gsm PVC.
Our spot gets windy. Is a PVC banner going to cope?
Think of solid PVC stretched along open fencing as a sail. Every gust presses on the whole sheet, and all that force ends up in the eyelets and the ties. So use every eyelet, pull it firm without stretching it, look at the ties again after the first blustery spell, and bring it in if a storm is on the way. If it has to stay up for weeks somewhere exposed, mesh is the better buy because much of the wind blows through it. We print these banners on 440gsm PVC. Material choices for Business Banners: 440gsm PVC.
Which hemming would you suggest for Business Banners?
The hemming option has 2 settings: none or Hemmed Edges. Hemming turns the edge over and welds it down, so the eyelets grip a double layer and the border is far less likely to rip. For anything facing the weather it is money well spent. Switch between them on the page and the total updates straight away, so you can see what each one adds. We print these banners on 440gsm PVC. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you.
Can you explain the eyelets setting for Business Banners?
The eyelets option has 2 settings: metal eyelets or plastic eyelets. Eyelets are the little rings set into the border so a tie or bungee can go through. If it is staying outside for weeks or months, go for metal, which lasts longer than plastic. Switch between them on the page and the total updates straight away, so you can see what each one adds. We print these banners on 440gsm PVC. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you.
Does the cable ties option I choose make a difference to Business Banners?
Add a bag or two of ties and you will not be hunting for them on the day you hang it. Do the four corners first, then work along every eyelet. For Business Banners the list runs 2 bags, 1 bag or none. Try each one on the page: the figure changes as you click, so the cost of every choice is clear.
How should I keep these banners between uses?
Make sure it is bone dry and clean, then roll it up loosely with the print on the outside, round a cardboard tube if one is handy. Try not to fold it, because sharp folds leave creases and the ink can crack along them. Snip off old cable ties before rolling so they do not press marks into the print, and store the roll in a dry cupboard well clear of radiators. We print these banners on 440gsm PVC. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all. On this page, Business Banners start from £36.53.
Is it legal to hang these banners on a fence or building I do not own?
Only with the owner's say-so, so ask the landowner or building owner before anything goes up. In England, outdoor banners are adverts in the eyes of the 2007 Control of Advertisements Regulations. Plenty of temporary banners need no application, but the size, the location and how long it is left up all count. Your local council can tell you if you are in doubt. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland each have similar rules of their own. We print these banners on 440gsm PVC. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you. On this page, Business Banners start from £36.53.
I am not sure which options to pick for these banners. Can someone advise me?
Of course. Tell us three things: where these banners will go, whether it is for one day or for years, and your deadline. Send that through the question box on this page or the Contact page, and a member of the team will suggest options. If what you need is outside the options listed, the Get a quote page lets you describe it and get a price. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you.
Our treasurer needs a receipt for the accounts. What do we get?
Every order gets a confirmation email listing what was bought, the options chosen and the amount paid, and a club, school or small firm can file that as its record of payment. What you pay for these banners is the price shown on the page plus any delivery charge, nothing more. If your accounts need a particular kind of invoice, ask through the Contact page before you order and we will tell you what we can provide. Sizes for these banners go from 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) at the small end to 9 ft 10 in × 6 ft 7 in (3000 × 2000 mm), 12 in all.
Next year we will want the same banner again. Is reordering easy?
Yes. Treat it as a fresh order of the same item with the same settings, and attach the file you used last time. For online designs, the print-ready PDF from the original paid order is waiting in My Account and your confirmation email. Change any details that have moved on, such as a new email address or this year's date, before uploading. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53.
Do I have to register before I can buy?
No. Guest checkout is fine, and card payments go through Stripe, so a debit card or a credit card both work. If you choose to open an account while checking out, My Account keeps your past orders and the print files of anything you designed online. Guest or not, you get an email confirming the order and another with tracking once it is sent. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you. Before delivery, these banners cost from £36.53.
Who looks after me once I have bought Business Banners?
You deal with FatPrint the whole way through. Once you order, somebody checks the artwork, Business Banners are printed specially for your order, and a courier delivers them with a tracking link by email. Need to ask something along the way? Use the question box here or the Contact page and a real person answers.
The parcel turned up damaged. How do I sort it out?
Look everything over when it arrives. If something is damaged or missing, contact us within 48 hours through the contact form, with your order number and photos of both the item and the packaging. Please keep hold of it until we reply; we then sort out a reprint or a refund. Your legal rights stay the same, as the returns page sets out. The biggest sizes of these banners go by specialist courier, which adds £15 once to the order.
Will my logo colours come out the same as on screen?
Very close, but not always identical. A screen glows, print reflects light, so a small difference is normal. Sending CMYK artwork keeps it nearest; RGB is changed to CMYK before printing and the brightest greens, blues and oranges can look a touch flatter. For an exact brand colour, give us the Pantone reference and we get as close as the material allows. Make the artwork for these banners the same size as the one you order, such as 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm).
Which mistakes does the online designer warn me about?
Spelling is the one thing it cannot judge, so read that yourself. It does catch placeholder words nobody changed, tiny lettering, anything drifting beyond the safe area or near the trim, blurry logos and photos, and objects covering words. Issues that would spoil the print stop you finishing until they are sorted; lighter warnings you may choose to accept. Make the artwork for these banners the same size as the one you order, such as 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm). Nothing is printed ahead of time: each banner is made to order for you.
Which material is used on Business Banners?
It is what your design gets printed onto. On Business Banners there is no choice to make: 440gsm PVC is what we use. Your size, quantity and turnaround settle the final figure. Switch between the options on the page and the total moves with you, so comparing costs is quick.
I sell at a weekly market. Which banner fits along the front of a stall?
Look at the long, shallow sizes: 4 ft × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) from £36.53 and 4 ft 11 in × 1 ft 8 in (1500 × 500 mm) from £37.53 sit well along a table front or the top rail of a gazebo. Measure the width of your stall first, then tie through the eyelets to the frame. Put your stall name in big letters and one line about what you sell; that is what shoppers take in as they walk past. You will also find these banners in our Mechanics & Garages section.

How we handle reviews
Only people who bought the product can review it. Each review is checked against a real order and marked "Verified owner".
We publish every genuine review, good or bad, exactly as it was written. We never edit reviews or choose which ones to show. The only reviews we hold back are spam, abuse, or ones that include personal details like a phone number or email address.
The star rating is the average of every published review. We never pay for reviews or give discounts or gifts in return for them.
Reviews show the reviewer's first name and initial. To have your own review taken down, contact us.
