What is a packaging tape?

Printed packaging tape is the cheapest way to brand a parcel. Every box you seal carries your name, and it doubles as a tamper check: if the printed tape is cut or replaced, you will know.

Materials

  • Polypropylene Solvent. Everyday plastic tape with a solvent-based adhesive.
  • Polypropylene Hot Melt. Plastic tape with a hot melt adhesive.
  • Vinyl. A thicker, tougher plastic tape.
  • High Tack Acrylic. An acrylic adhesive with a strong grip.
  • Kraft Paper. Paper tape for brown-paper, plastic-free looking parcels.

Size, colour and print

Rolls come as 24 mm, 36 mm, 48 mm or 72 mm wide by 50 m long, a 48 mm × 66 m roll, or a long 48 mm × 500 m roll for high-volume packing. The tape itself is brown, white or clear, and your design prints in 1, 2 or 3 colours. Simple, bold artwork reads best on a moving strip: a logo, a web address or a line such as FRAGILE or HANDLE WITH CARE.

Who uses it

An online clothing shop sealing every order. A removals firm marking boxes. A warehouse that wants to see at a glance whether a carton has been opened. A craft business that wants brown paper tape to match its kraft boxes. Order 12, 24, 36, 48, 72, 96, 144, 192, 288, 384 or 432 rolls.
