Overview
Tent card printing works because people sitting down have time to read. That is when a card on the table does its best work: the dessert menu in a pub, the Wi-Fi password in a café, a happy hour offer in a bar, table numbers and a thank-you at a wedding.
Two faces or three?
This is the decision that matters.
- A6 portrait tent (105 × 148 mm). Two faces. Small and tidy on a café table or beside a till. Perfect for a QR code and a line of text.
- A5 portrait tent (148 × 210 mm). Two faces, with room for a short menu or a drinks list.
- DL triangle (99 × 210 mm). Three faces. Put the same message on each side for a round table, or use all three: starters, mains, puddings.
Tent card printing finishes
Leave it plain for a one-night event. Add UV varnish on the outside for a glossy layer that shrugs off a wipe with a cloth. Choose soft touch lamination for a velvety feel that suits a hotel lounge or a smart restaurant. On a busy pub table where drinks get spilt, a finish is worth having.
Setting up the artwork
Each face must be the right way up once the card is folded, which catches people out on the triangle. Send a print-ready PDF at the finished size with 3 mm bleed and text 3 mm inside the edge. Stuck? Use the free online designer, or our paid artwork service, which includes 1 design and 2 rounds of changes. A person checks every uploaded file for free, and the artwork guidelines explain bleed.
Quantities, timing and delivery
Order 10 to 1,000. Ten covers a small café; a wedding with 30 tables might order 50 to allow for spares and the bar. Every order of tent card printing is made to order and dispatched from the UK: Express from 5 working days, Standard from 7 and Saver from 9, once your order and artwork are confirmed. UK mainland delivery is £7.95, free on orders of £100 or more after discounts; see delivery. Door hangers and tags are in door hangers, tent cards and swing tags.

Questions
Quick answers about tent card printing.
How quickly can I get table tent cards for our restaurant?
Express leaves us from 5 working days after the file check, Standard from 7 and Saver from 9. Mainland UK delivery costs £7.95, nothing once your goods reach £100; the Scottish Highlands add £10, and we quote for islands and Northern Ireland.
How do I set up tent card artwork?
Supply a print-ready PDF at the finished size, 3 mm bleed on each edge and text 3 mm or more inside the trim. Turn each face so it reads the right way up once the card is standing.
Will you tell me if something is wrong with my file?
We will. Every upload for your tent card order is checked by a person for resolution, size and bleed, and you hear from us before anything is printed. Paid help is there too: a clean layout from your text and logo (£15), a design from your brief (£35) or a logo redraw (£30), each with one first draft and two rounds of changes.
Can diners on both sides of the table read a tent card?
Yes. The A6 and A5 tents are printed on two faces, so each diner sees one whichever seat they take. The tall DL version is a triangle with three faces.
Which tent card size should our cafe choose?
For small cafe tables and the counter, A6 is ideal. If you want to list drinks or a full offer, A5 gives you more space. The three-sided DL triangle stands taller and narrower, so it catches the eye from across the room.
Should I choose UV varnish or soft touch lamination for tent cards?
UV varnish gives the outside a glossy protective coat, and soft touch lamination feels velvety. Both help the card survive being handled on busy tables.
Will the tent cards stand up as soon as they arrive?
A quick fold along the crease and they stand up. When you set up the artwork, check each face is the right way up, so nothing appears upside down once it is folded.
Asked by buyers
How cheaply can I get hold of Tent Cards?
Picked the way the page first loads, with DL triangle (3 sides) (99 × 210 mm) and none, Tent Cards come to £10.35. Any other mix of options, a faster turnaround included, gets its own price the moment you choose it, and that figure is what you pay at checkout. Only delivery is left to add. On its own the opening price of £10.35 would add £7.95 for mainland delivery; reach £100 of goods and that goes to zero.
Which turnaround speeds can I choose for Tent Cards?
Allow 9 working days on Saver, 7 on Standard or 5 on Express before Tent Cards are handed to the courier, based on the options the page opens with. Weekends and bank holidays are not counted, and nothing starts until the order is paid and the artwork is confirmed. Pick another size or material and the days beside each speed update, sometimes by a day. After it leaves us, the courier normally delivers in one to three working days and you get the tracking link by email.
Is delivery extra on top of the price of Tent Cards?
Send it to a UK mainland address for a flat £7.95, or for free when the goods in the basket add up to £100 or more after discounts; artwork and design charges do not count towards that. An order of just this at the opening price of £10.35 is under £100, so it pays the £7.95. We price delivery first for Northern Ireland and for the Isle of Wight, the Channel Islands, Scilly, the Scottish islands and the Isle of Man; Highland addresses on the mainland just pay £10 extra, one time per order.
Which artwork services are offered with Tent Cards?
Several routes, all chosen under Artwork on this page. Send your own finished file (no charge), we set your words and logo on a tidy layout, called typesetting (£15), we design it from your brief (£35), we redraw a blurry or low quality logo as sharp vector art (£30) or we create a brand new logo (£50). Typesetting and design from a brief each come with one first draft and two rounds of changes. The fee is the same whatever quantity you order and shows separately in the basket. Make the artwork for these items the same size as the one you order, such as DL triangle (3 sides).
Which sizes can Tent Cards be printed in?
The table has 2 sizes. At the small end, DL triangle (3 sides) costs from £10.35; at the top, A5 (148 × 210 mm) costs from £22.26. Each figure is for the cheapest set of options at that size. Unsure? Measure where it will go and check the view from the spot people will stand.
Could the total go up after I reach the checkout?
No surprises: what the page shows for these items is the goods figure you pay at checkout. Delivery is the one extra, £7.95 to a UK mainland address, and it drops away when the goods reach £100 after discounts. Paid artwork help shows up as its own basket line, so you can check each amount before paying. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each item is made to order for you.
How many Tent Cards can I buy at one time?
Anything from 10 to 1000. The quantity choices on the page run 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1000. The figure shown is for the whole batch, not for one, so divide it by the number you picked to see the cost of each. If you need more than 1000, send the size, number and date through our Get a quote page. Sizes for these items go from DL triangle (3 sides) at the small end to A5 (148 × 210 mm), 2 in all.
Is there a minimum quantity for Tent Cards?
Yes. You can start at 10, with 25, 50, 100 and 250 as the next steps. Each price is the total for that quantity, so divide it to compare the cost of one item across a few options before deciding. For an amount outside the list, ask for a quote. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each item is made to order for you.
How much for the biggest size, A5 (148 × 210 mm)?
From £22.26 for 10, with the cheapest settings and the Saver service. Add £7.95 for UK mainland delivery, or nothing at all once the goods reach £100. Select it on the page and swap materials, finishes and speed to watch how the figure moves. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each item is made to order for you.
Our event is close. Can Tent Cards be rushed?
Yes. Choose Express and Tent Cards can be on the way in 5 working days on the opening option, for £11.99, where Saver is £10.35 and takes 9 days. Then give the courier one to three working days, and send the artwork with the order, because the clock does not run until the file is sorted. If the date is really tight, message us on the Contact page before paying and we will tell you honestly.
Do you send to Northern Ireland or the islands?
Yes, anywhere in the UK, though the price differs by area. A Highlands postcode on the mainland pays the usual rate plus a single £10 for the order, and that £10 still applies when the rest of the delivery is free. Northern Ireland gets a price worked out first, as do the Isle of Wight, the Channel Islands, Scilly, the Scottish islands and the Isle of Man: send your postcode through our Get a quote page or the Contact page. We cannot send anything outside the UK. Before delivery, these items cost from £10.35.
Can I send a Word or Canva file for Tent Cards?
Word, PowerPoint and Canva are a fair place to start, but export a high quality PDF from them before uploading. Our first choice is always a PDF at the ordered size with fonts embedded or outlined, followed by AI, EPS or SVG, then high resolution JPG, PNG or TIFF. You can add three files, each up to 25 MB, on this page, or upload them after ordering from the email we send. Make the artwork for these items the same size as the one you order, such as DL triangle (3 sides).
Will anyone look at my file before it is printed?
Yes, a real person on our team opens every uploaded file and checks the size, the bleed and the resolution. If something is off, you hear from us before anything is made. We print what you send, though, so read the spelling, numbers and dates yourself as well. Making starts when the order and the file are both confirmed. Sizes for these items go from DL triangle (3 sides) at the small end to A5 (148 × 210 mm), 2 in all.
How many pixels does a photo need to print well on these items?
Close-up items need about 300 dpi at full size. So an A5 (148 × 210 mm) layout wants about 1,748 by 2,480 pixels. Keep lettering and logos as vectors if you can. An image copied off a web page or a social post rarely has enough pixels; if yours looks likely to print soft, our file check flags it. Sizes for these items go from DL triangle (3 sides) at the small end to A5 (148 × 210 mm), 2 in all.
I am not a designer. What if the file I send turns out to be unusable?
That is why a person looks at every upload before anything is printed. Typical snags are a document at the wrong size, missing bleed, blurry photos and words sitting too near the trim. If we spot one, we explain what to change and you send a fresh file. Or hand it over to us: for £15 our typesetting places your wording and logo on a neat layout, with one first draft and two rounds of changes. Sizes for these items go from DL triangle (3 sides) at the small end to A5 (148 × 210 mm), 2 in all.
Someone else is putting our file together. How does it reach you?
Easiest route: they send the finished file to whoever placed the order, and it gets uploaded after ordering. Up to 3 files of 25 MB each are fine. They can also reach us through the Contact page, as long as they quote your order number so it lands on the right job. Production waits for the checked file, so a late file means a later dispatch date. Make the artwork for these items the same size as the one you order, such as DL triangle (3 sides).
Which finish would you suggest for Tent Cards?
Adding a laminate or a varnish shields the print and alters its look, as well as the feel in your hand. For Tent Cards the list runs soft touch lamination; UV varnish, outside; or none. Try each one on the page: the figure changes as you click, so the cost of every choice is clear.
How are Tent Cards finished?
In short, the finish line for Tent Cards reads: None, UV varnish on the outside, or soft touch lamination. Anything unusual in mind? Send the details through our quote form and someone will reply. The Specifications tab lists every other detail.
I work with cafes, restaurants and food businesses. Are these items something we could use?
For kitchens, counters and dining areas, look under Food & Hospitality in the shop: Tent Cards are listed there. Prices begin at £10.35; 2 sizes are listed, starting at DL triangle (3 sides); you can order from 10 up to 1000. People buying for that kind of work often add NCR Invoice Books or Male Female and Disabled Toilets Sign. Put everything in one order and delivery is free at £100 or more.
How would I decide between Swing Tags and Tent Cards?
Comparing Tent Cards with Swing Tags, this is what changes. Sizes: 2 on this page, the smallest DL triangle (3 sides), and 3 on the other, the smallest 50 × 50 mm. Opening price: £10.35 on this page and £33.35 on the other. On the Standard service it is 7 working days on this page and 8 on the other. Go by the spot it is going in and how long it needs to last, then open both pages and compare the live totals.
Should I get Tent Cards, or would Foiled Swing Tags suit me better?
Comparing Tent Cards with Foiled Swing Tags, this is what changes. Sizes: 2 on this page, the smallest DL triangle (3 sides), and 2 on the other, the smallest 55 × 55 mm. Opening price: £10.35 on this page and £54.08 on the other. On the Standard service it is 7 working days on this page and 6 on the other. Go by the spot it is going in and how long it needs to last, then open both pages and compare the live totals.
Where do Tent Cards and Door Hangers differ?
Set Tent Cards beside Door Hangers and a few things differ. Opening price: £10.35 on this page and £46.83 on the other. On the Standard service it is 7 working days on this page and 5 on the other. Go by the spot it is going in and how long it needs to last, then open both pages and compare the live totals.
I am not sure which options to pick for these items. Can someone advise me?
Yes. Type your question into the box on this page and a real person replies. Mention where the item will be used, how long you need it to last and the date you need it by. Answered questions may be shown on the page for other buyers, so leave personal details out of it. Private questions can go through the Contact page, and anything the options here cannot price can go through the Get a quote page. Before delivery, these items cost from £10.35.
I have spotted a typo after paying. Can it be fixed?
Tell us quickly through the Contact page, quoting your order number. Before production starts we can take a corrected file, or cancel and refund the whole order. After that it cannot be changed. A print that matches your finished design or the file you sent is not a fault, so it pays to read every word and number before you order. Before delivery, these items cost from £10.35.
Next year we will want the same item again. Is reordering easy?
Very. Choose the same product with the same options and upload the same file, and it is made again exactly as before. Save the final print file somewhere safe, as that makes a repeat order a two-minute job. Before you repeat it, read the wording again: dates, prices, opening times and contact details are the things that go out of date. Before delivery, these items cost from £10.35.
Do I pay delivery on each item in my basket?
No. One delivery charge covers the whole basket, so adding Tent Cards to other items does not add a second one. It is £7.95 to a UK mainland address and nothing once the goods total £100 after any discount code. Using the same design on two items? Pick the reuse-artwork option on the second one and you pay the artwork fee just once. Each line keeps its own size and quantity.
I am ordering these items for a school or charity. Do I need to open an account?
No account is needed. Guest checkout lets a parent, volunteer or club secretary order once and pay by debit or credit card through Stripe. The price you see is the price you pay at checkout, and the confirmation email you receive lists the items and the amount paid for your records. If the committee needs a price agreed before anyone pays, the Get a quote page is the better starting point. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each item is made to order for you. Before delivery, these items cost from £10.35.
Our club needs a big batch of items, or an odd size. Can you price it?
Yes. Fill in our Get a quote page, giving the size, how many, the material, when you need them and the delivery postcode, and attach your artwork if it is ready. A price comes back to you by email. Get a quote is also how delivery to Northern Ireland and the islands gets priced. Sizes for these items go from DL triangle (3 sides) at the small end to A5 (148 × 210 mm), 2 in all.
We need a few different designs. Do they each need their own order?
No. Each design goes into the basket as a separate line with its own file or online design, and you pay for them all in one checkout. Delivery is counted once for the whole order and costs nothing when the goods reach £100. If two lines share the same artwork, pick the artwork option that reuses a file already in your basket, so any design fee is only paid once. Before delivery, these items cost from £10.35.
Do I have to register before I can buy?
There is no need to sign up. Pay as a guest with a bank card, handled securely by Stripe, and you still get an order confirmation email and a tracking email on dispatch. An account is optional; it just keeps your order history in one place. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each item is made to order for you.
Our treasurer needs a receipt for the accounts. What do we get?
Keep the order confirmation email we send: it itemises the purchase and the payment, and works as a plain receipt for your records. The total at checkout for these items is the goods price on the page plus delivery, so the email matches what left the account. Need something more formal for an audit or a grant claim? Message us from the Contact page with your order number. Sizes for these items go from DL triangle (3 sides) at the small end to A5 (148 × 210 mm), 2 in all.
Can I send these items back if I no longer need them?
If they arrive faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, yes: under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 we reprint or refund. A change of mind is different. Each order is made to your specification, and reg. 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 takes those goods out of the 14-day right to cancel. Before production starts, though, you can cancel for all your money back. Sizes for these items go from DL triangle (3 sides) at the small end to A5 (148 × 210 mm), 2 in all.
Can I pay for Tent Cards by card as a guest?
Yes. Guest checkout is fine, and any debit or credit card works. Stripe processes the payment for us, which keeps your card number off our system entirely. We begin making these items once the payment has cleared and the artwork is confirmed. Large or out of the ordinary jobs can be quoted first from the Get a quote page. Sizes for these items go from DL triangle (3 sides) at the small end to A5 (148 × 210 mm), 2 in all.
Who looks after me once I have bought Tent Cards?
FatPrint does, from start to finish. We take your order and payment, a person on our team checks your file, and Tent Cards are made to order for you rather than taken off a shelf. It then goes to you by courier, with tracking sent by email. Questions before or after ordering go through the box on this page or the Contact page, and a person replies.
The parcel turned up damaged. How do I sort it out?
Take photos of the damage and the box it came in, then send them through the contact form within 48 hours of delivery, with your order number. Hold on to the item rather than posting it back; we reply and arrange a reprint or refund. This sits alongside your legal rights, which the returns page covers. Choose Saver and these items leave us after 9 working days; Express brings that down to 5.
Should I send my file as RGB or CMYK?
CMYK if you can. An RGB file gets converted to CMYK for printing, and vivid greens, blues and oranges may lose a little brightness on the way. Have a Pantone number for your brand colour? Tell us and we match it as near as the material lets us. Expect a small shift between screen and print either way: a screen shines light at you, while printed items reflect it. Sizes for these items go from DL triangle (3 sides) at the small end to A5 (148 × 210 mm), 2 in all.
Bleed and dpi mean nothing to me. Can I still get printing done?
Yes. You do not need any print knowledge to order Tent Cards. Send us your words and logo with the typesetting option (£15) and we build the layout, then you get a first draft and two rounds of changes. Whatever you choose, a real person looks at the file before printing.
I am a parent volunteer with no design experience. Can I still order these items?
You do not need to be a designer, and nobody expects a parent or a club helper to be one. Or choose typesetting for £15 and send us your text and logo; you get a first draft and up to two rounds of changes. A second pair of eyes on the spelling always helps. Make the artwork for these items the same size as the one you order, such as DL triangle (3 sides).
Can these items go in the recycling bin afterwards?
In most cases, yes, because unlaminated paper and card can go straight into your paper recycling. Foiled, laminated or plastic items are a different matter: they are harder to recycle and councils treat them differently, so look up your local rules first. Taking lamination off the order is the simplest way to keep it easy to recycle. Before delivery, these items cost from £10.35.
How should we keep these items in good condition until we need them?
Store paper and card lying flat, in the box it arrived in, in a dry spot out of sunlight and away from radiators. Moisture makes sheets curl and can cause jams in a printer, and strong light fades the colours over time. Only take out what you need, so the rest stays clean. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each item is made to order for you.
