The annual boiler service

Panel off, flue checked, readings taken, panel back on. Before you shut the cupboard, a Boiler Service Label goes on the casing with the date, the next due date and your number. 76 x 51 mm or 96 x 68 mm. Next October, the customer opens the cupboard and there you are.

Rented flats and landlords

Landlord Gas Safety Check Labels show when the yearly check was done and when the next is due. Pair them with Carbon Monoxide Alarm Labels, which record when an alarm was fitted, when it expires and who fitted it, in a 64 mm circle or 76 x 51 mm.

When something isn't right

Red Danger Do Not Use Labels go on an appliance classed as Immediately Dangerous and disconnected. Yellow At Risk Warning Labels mark one classed as At Risk under the unsafe situations procedure. Both come in 96 x 68 mm or 110 x 75 mm, big enough that nobody can claim they missed it.

New installs

Appliance Installed By Labels say who fitted it and how to reach you. System Inhibitor Labels record that the system was cleaned and dosed. Flue Inspected Labels sit at inspection hatches on concealed flues. Emergency Control Valve Labels show where the ECV is and what to do if you smell gas, in 96 x 45 mm or 96 x 68 mm. Isolation Valve Labels name each valve, in 62 x 33 mm or 96 x 45 mm.

Paper or polypropylene?

For gas engineer label printing, think about where the label will sit. Gloss paper is fine in a warm, dry kitchen cupboard. Matt paper takes a pen, so you can add dates and initials on the day. A meter box on an outside wall, a garage boiler or a damp understairs cupboard needs waterproof white polypropylene with a matt laminate.

What goes on your labels

Every gas engineer label printing order carries your company name and phone number, plus a registration or ID number as plain text if you want one. We never print scheme or trade-body logos. The labels are a visible record of dates and contacts. They back up your certificates and records and never replace them.
