Overview

Wall planners printing exists because staff holidays, school terms, delivery rounds and site visits only make sense when you see all twelve months at once. A planner on the office wall does that, and your logo sits above it all year.

A2 or A1?

A2 (420 × 594 mm) fits the wall beside a desk or a staffroom noticeboard. A1 (594 × 841 mm) is the big one for a garage or warehouse wall or a busy office where the whole team writes on it. Either way, the finished planner folds down to A4.

Wall planners printing: folds and which way out

  • Cross folded. Folded in half, then in half again the other way. Simple and compact.
  • Concertina, then in half. Zig-zag folds first, then one fold across the middle.
  • Print folded inside. The design is protected in the post and revealed when it is opened.
  • Print folded outside. Your branding shows on the folded pack, handy when it goes out loose or in a clear bag.

Silk or gloss, 130gsm or 170gsm

Silk has a low sheen, cuts glare under office lights and is the easier surface to write on. Gloss makes photos and colours brighter. 170gsm is thicker and copes better with being pinned up and written on for a year; 130gsm is lighter for posting in bulk. Remember that planners are printed on one side only.

Numbers, files and dispatch

Order 125, 250, 500, 1,000 or 2,000. A college might send one to every new student; a supplier might post 500 to trade customers in the autumn. The price each drops as quantities rise.

Send a single-page PDF at the full flat size with 3 mm bleed, keeping text at least 3 mm inside the trim. A person checks every uploaded file for free; the artwork guidelines help, and our paid artwork service includes 1 design and 2 rounds of changes. Our wall planners printing is made to order and dispatched from the UK: Standard from 6 working days, Saver from 8, once your order and artwork are confirmed. UK mainland delivery is £7.95, free on orders of £100 or more after discounts; see delivery. Desk and wall calendars are in calendars.

Questions

Quick answers about wall planners printing.

What is the turnaround on my folded wall planner order?

Pick Saver (8 working days) or Standard (6 working days); that is the time before it leaves us. The clock starts once your order is placed and the file is confirmed. Spend £100 on goods (design fees are not counted) and UK mainland delivery is free; otherwise it is £7.95 once. Northern Ireland and island addresses get a delivery quote first, and the mainland Highlands add £10.

How should the wall planner file be set up?

As one single-page PDF at the full flat size, A2 (420 × 594 mm) or A1 (594 × 841 mm), with 3 mm bleed round every edge. Keep all text at least 3 mm inside the trim.

Will you tell me if something is wrong with my file?

We will. Every upload for your folded wall planner order is checked by a person for resolution, size, bleed and the page count, and you hear from us before anything is printed. Paid help is there too: a clean layout from your text and logo (£15), a design from your brief (£35) or a logo redraw (£30), each with one first draft and two rounds of changes.

What does the printed side option mean on a folded wall planner?

It decides whether the print faces in or out once the planner is folded. Facing inside keeps the design protected in the post. Facing outside means part of your design shows on the folded A4 pack.

Should I pick the cross fold or the concertina fold?

A cross fold halves the sheet and then halves it again. A concertina fold pleats it back and forth before folding it in half. Either way it ends up A4.

For a busy office, is an A2 or A1 wall planner better?

For a busy team, go A1. It covers twice the space of A2, giving every date more room for rotas and bookings. The A2 version fits better on a small wall, say in a home office or staff room.

Can we write holidays on the planner with a pen?

Yes, as long as you order silk. Ballpoints and pencils mark silk nicely, whereas gloss tends to resist them, so silk is the one for a planner your team will fill in.

Asked by buyers

How cheaply can I get hold of Folded Wall Planners?

Picked the way the page first loads, with A2 · 420 × 594 mm, cross folded to A4 and 170gsm silk, Folded Wall Planners come to £102.02. Any other mix of options, a faster turnaround included, gets its own price the moment you choose it, and that figure is what you pay at checkout. Only delivery is left to add. At £102.02 the opening price is already over £100, so mainland delivery costs nothing.

Which turnaround speeds can I choose for Folded Wall Planners?

Allow 8 working days on Saver or 6 on Standard before Folded Wall Planners are handed to the courier, based on the options the page opens with. Weekends and bank holidays are not counted, and nothing starts until the order is paid and the artwork is confirmed. Pick another size or material and the days beside each speed update, sometimes by a day. After it leaves us, the courier normally delivers in one to three working days and you get the tracking link by email.

Is delivery extra on top of the price of Folded Wall Planners?

Send it to a UK mainland address for a flat £7.95, or for free when the goods in the basket add up to £100 or more after discounts; artwork and design charges do not count towards that. The opening price of £102.02 already clears that line. We price delivery first for Northern Ireland and for the Isle of Wight, the Channel Islands, Scilly, the Scottish islands and the Isle of Man; Highland addresses on the mainland just pay £10 extra, one time per order.

How do I put the pages together in one file for these calendars?

Count your pages first: the total must be a multiple of four, since each sheet gives four pages once folded, so plan blanks or notes pages if you are short. Then export a single PDF, one page after another as a reader turns them, each with 3 mm bleed. Keep text at a safe distance of 5 mm or more from the spine and the cut edges. Make the artwork for these calendars the same size as the one you order, such as A2 (420 × 594 mm).

Which artwork services are offered with Folded Wall Planners?

Several routes, all chosen under Artwork on this page. Send your own finished file (no charge), we set your words and logo on a tidy layout, called typesetting (£15), we design it from your brief (£35), we redraw a blurry or low quality logo as sharp vector art (£30) or we create a brand new logo (£50). Typesetting and design from a brief each come with one first draft and two rounds of changes. The fee is the same whatever quantity you order and shows separately in the basket. Sizes for these calendars go from A2 (420 × 594 mm) at the small end to A1 (594 × 841 mm), 2 in all.

Which sizes can Folded Wall Planners be printed in?

The table has 2 sizes. At the small end, A2 (420 × 594 mm) costs from £102.02; at the top, A1 (594 × 841 mm) costs from £223.85. Each figure is for the cheapest set of options at that size. Unsure? Measure where it will go and check the view from the spot people will stand.

How many Folded Wall Planners can I buy at one time?

Anything from 125 to 2000. The quantity choices on the page run 125, 250, 500, 1000 and 2000. The figure shown is for the whole batch, not for one, so divide it by the number you picked to see the cost of each. If you need more than 2000, send the size, number and date through our Get a quote page. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each calendar is made to order for you.

Could the total go up after I reach the checkout?

No surprises: what the page shows for these calendars is the goods figure you pay at checkout. Delivery is the one extra, £7.95 to a UK mainland address, and it drops away when the goods reach £100 after discounts. Paid artwork help shows up as its own basket line, so you can check each amount before paying. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each calendar is made to order for you.

And the largest calendar, A1 (594 × 841 mm): how much is that one?

From £223.85 for 125, with the cheapest settings and the Saver service. That clears the £100 mark on its own, so UK mainland delivery costs nothing. Select it on the page and swap materials, finishes and speed to watch how the figure moves. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each calendar is made to order for you.

Is there a minimum quantity for Folded Wall Planners?

Yes. You can start at 125, with 250, 500, 1000 and 2000 as the next steps. Each price is the total for that quantity, so divide it to compare the cost of one item across a few options before deciding. For an amount outside the list, ask for a quote. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each calendar is made to order for you.

Do you send to Northern Ireland or the islands?

Yes, anywhere in the UK, though the price differs by area. A Highlands postcode on the mainland pays the usual rate plus a single £10 for the order, and that £10 still applies when the rest of the delivery is free. Northern Ireland gets a price worked out first, as do the Isle of Wight, the Channel Islands, Scilly, the Scottish islands and the Isle of Man: send your postcode through our Get a quote page or the Contact page. We cannot send anything outside the UK. Before delivery, these calendars cost from £102.02.

How many pixels does a photo need to print well on these calendars?

Close-up items need about 300 dpi at full size. So an A1 (594 × 841 mm) layout wants about 7,016 by 9,933 pixels. Keep lettering and logos as vectors if you can. An image copied off a web page or a social post rarely has enough pixels; if yours looks likely to print soft, our file check flags it.

Will anyone look at my file before it is printed?

Yes, a real person on our team opens every uploaded file and checks the size, the bleed and the resolution. If something is off, you hear from us before anything is made. We print what you send, though, so read the spelling, numbers and dates yourself as well. Making starts when the order and the file are both confirmed. Sizes for these calendars go from A2 (420 × 594 mm) at the small end to A1 (594 × 841 mm), 2 in all.

I am not a designer. What if the file I send turns out to be unusable?

That is why a person looks at every upload before anything is printed. Typical snags are a document at the wrong size, missing bleed, blurry photos and words sitting too near the trim. If we spot one, we explain what to change and you send a fresh file. Or hand it over to us: for £15 our typesetting places your wording and logo on a neat layout, with one first draft and two rounds of changes. For these calendars, the material can be 170gsm gloss, 170gsm silk, 130gsm gloss or 130gsm silk.

Someone else is putting our file together. How does it reach you?

Easiest route: they send the finished file to whoever placed the order, and it gets uploaded after ordering. Up to 3 files of 25 MB each are fine. They can also reach us through the Contact page, as long as they quote your order number so it lands on the right job. Production waits for the checked file, so a late file means a later dispatch date. Make the artwork for these calendars the same size as the one you order, such as A2 (420 × 594 mm).

Can I send a Word or Canva file for Folded Wall Planners?

Word, PowerPoint and Canva are a fair place to start, but export a high quality PDF from them before uploading. Our first choice is always a PDF at the ordered size with fonts embedded or outlined, followed by AI, EPS or SVG, then high resolution JPG, PNG or TIFF. You can add three files, each up to 25 MB, on this page, or upload them after ordering from the email we send. Sizes for these calendars go from A2 (420 × 594 mm) at the small end to A1 (594 × 841 mm), 2 in all.

Printed side on Folded Wall Planners: how do the choices differ?

Choose whether your design sits outside the fold or inside it. For Folded Wall Planners the list runs print folded outside or print folded inside. Try each one on the page: the figure changes as you click, so the cost of every choice is clear.

Does the paper option I choose make a difference to Folded Wall Planners?

The paper option has 4 settings: 170gsm gloss, 170gsm silk, 130gsm gloss or 130gsm silk. The gsm figure is the weight of the paper in grams for each square metre, so a bigger number means a thicker, firmer sheet. Silk and gloss have a coating that keeps print sharp and bright, while uncoated sheets take a pen more easily. Switch between them on the page and the total updates straight away, so you can see what each one adds.

Which fold would you suggest for Folded Wall Planners?

A half fold goes down the middle once. Roll folds tuck panels inside each other, while Z folds open out like a concertina. A gate fold opens from the centre like two doors, and a cross fold is two folds at right angles. Each option lists its folded size. For Folded Wall Planners the list runs concertina folded, then in half, to A4; or cross folded to A4. Try each one on the page: the figure changes as you click, so the cost of every choice is clear.

Should I get Folded Wall Planners, or would Desk Calendars suit me better?

Set Folded Wall Planners beside Desk Calendars and a few things differ. Sizes: 2 on this page, the smallest A2 (420 × 594 mm), and 3 on the other, the smallest A6 landscape (148 × 105 mm). Opening price: £102.02 on this page and £134.12 on the other. On the Standard service it is 6 working days on this page and 10 on the other. Go by the spot it is going in and how long it needs to last, then open both pages and compare the live totals.

How would I decide between Wiro Bound Wall Calendars and Folded Wall Planners?

Comparing Folded Wall Planners with Wiro Bound Wall Calendars, this is what changes. Sizes: 2 on this page, the smallest A2 (420 × 594 mm), and 5 on the other, the smallest A5 (148 × 210 mm). Opening price: £102.02 on this page and £47.24 on the other. On the Standard service it is 6 working days on this page and 4 on the other. Go by the spot it is going in and how long it needs to last, then open both pages and compare the live totals.

Where do Folded Wall Planners and Promotional Wall Calendars differ?

Comparing Folded Wall Planners with Promotional Wall Calendars, this is what changes. Sizes: 2 on this page, the smallest A2 (420 × 594 mm), and 3 on the other, the smallest A5 (148 × 210 mm). Opening price: £102.02 on this page and £55.94 on the other. On the Standard service it is 6 working days on this page and 8 on the other. Go by the spot it is going in and how long it needs to last, then open both pages and compare the live totals.

Next year we will want the same calendar again. Is reordering easy?

Very. Choose the same product with the same options and upload the same file, and it is made again exactly as before. Save the final print file somewhere safe, as that makes a repeat order a two-minute job. Before you repeat it, read the wording again: dates, prices, opening times and contact details are the things that go out of date. Sizes for these calendars go from A2 (420 × 594 mm) at the small end to A1 (594 × 841 mm), 2 in all.

We need a few different designs. Do they each need their own order?

No. Each design goes into the basket as a separate line with its own file or online design, and you pay for them all in one checkout. Delivery is counted once for the whole order and costs nothing when the goods reach £100. If two lines share the same artwork, pick the artwork option that reuses a file already in your basket, so any design fee is only paid once. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each calendar is made to order for you. Before delivery, these calendars cost from £102.02.

Who looks after me once I have bought Folded Wall Planners?

FatPrint does, from start to finish. We take your order and payment, a person on our team checks your file, and Folded Wall Planners are made to order for you rather than taken off a shelf. It then goes to you by courier, with tracking sent by email. Questions before or after ordering go through the box on this page or the Contact page, and a person replies.

I have spotted a typo after paying. Can it be fixed?

Tell us quickly through the Contact page, quoting your order number. Before production starts we can take a corrected file, or cancel and refund the whole order. After that it cannot be changed. A print that matches your finished design or the file you sent is not a fault, so it pays to read every word and number before you order. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each calendar is made to order for you.

Do I have to register before I can buy?

There is no need to sign up. Pay as a guest with a bank card, handled securely by Stripe, and you still get an order confirmation email and a tracking email on dispatch. An account is optional; it just keeps your order history in one place. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each calendar is made to order for you.

I am ordering these calendars for a school or charity. Do I need to open an account?

No account is needed. Guest checkout lets a parent, volunteer or club secretary order once and pay by debit or credit card through Stripe. The price you see is the price you pay at checkout, and the confirmation email you receive lists the items and the amount paid for your records. If the committee needs a price agreed before anyone pays, the Get a quote page is the better starting point. Before delivery, these calendars cost from £102.02.

Our club needs a big batch of calendars, or an odd size. Can you price it?

Yes. Fill in our Get a quote page, giving the size, how many, the material, when you need them and the delivery postcode, and attach your artwork if it is ready. A price comes back to you by email. Get a quote is also how delivery to Northern Ireland and the islands gets priced. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each calendar is made to order for you.

Can I pay for Folded Wall Planners by card as a guest?

Yes. Guest checkout is fine, and any debit or credit card works. Stripe processes the payment for us, which keeps your card number off our system entirely. We begin making these calendars once the payment has cleared and the artwork is confirmed. Large or out of the ordinary jobs can be quoted first from the Get a quote page. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each calendar is made to order for you.

Can I send these calendars back if I no longer need them?

If they arrive faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, yes: under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 we reprint or refund. A change of mind is different. Each order is made to your specification, and reg. 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 takes those goods out of the 14-day right to cancel. Before production starts, though, you can cancel for all your money back. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each calendar is made to order for you. Sizes for these calendars go from A2 (420 × 594 mm) at the small end to A1 (594 × 841 mm), 2 in all.

I am not sure which options to pick for these calendars. Can someone advise me?

Yes. Type your question into the box on this page and a real person replies. Mention where the calendar will be used, how long you need it to last and the date you need it by. Answered questions may be shown on the page for other buyers, so leave personal details out of it. Private questions can go through the Contact page, and anything the options here cannot price can go through the Get a quote page. Before delivery, these calendars cost from £102.02.

Our treasurer needs a receipt for the accounts. What do we get?

Keep the order confirmation email we send: it itemises the purchase and the payment, and works as a plain receipt for your records. The total at checkout for these calendars is the goods price on the page plus delivery, so the email matches what left the account. Need something more formal for an audit or a grant claim? Message us from the Contact page with your order number. Nothing is printed ahead of time: each calendar is made to order for you. Sizes for these calendars go from A2 (420 × 594 mm) at the small end to A1 (594 × 841 mm), 2 in all.

Do I pay delivery on each item in my basket?

No. One delivery charge covers the whole basket, so adding Folded Wall Planners to other items does not add a second one. It is £7.95 to a UK mainland address and nothing once the goods total £100 after any discount code. Using the same design on two items? Pick the reuse-artwork option on the second one and you pay the artwork fee just once. Each line keeps its own size and quantity.

The parcel turned up damaged. How do I sort it out?

Take photos of the damage and the box it came in, then send them through the contact form within 48 hours of delivery, with your order number. Hold on to the item rather than posting it back; we reply and arrange a reprint or refund. This sits alongside your legal rights, which the returns page covers. Choose Saver and these calendars leave us after 8 working days; Standard brings that down to 6.

Bleed and dpi mean nothing to me. Can I still get printing done?

Yes. You do not need any print knowledge to order Folded Wall Planners. Send us your words and logo with the typesetting option (£15) and we build the layout, then you get a first draft and two rounds of changes. Whatever you choose, a real person looks at the file before printing.

Should I send my file as RGB or CMYK?

CMYK if you can. An RGB file gets converted to CMYK for printing, and vivid greens, blues and oranges may lose a little brightness on the way. Have a Pantone number for your brand colour? Tell us and we match it as near as the material lets us. Expect a small shift between screen and print either way: a screen shines light at you, while printed items reflect it. Make the artwork for these calendars the same size as the one you order, such as A2 (420 × 594 mm).

I am a parent volunteer with no design experience. Can I still order these calendars?

You do not need to be a designer, and nobody expects a parent or a club helper to be one. Or choose typesetting for £15 and send us your text and logo; you get a first draft and up to two rounds of changes. A second pair of eyes on the spelling always helps. Make the artwork for these calendars the same size as the one you order, such as A2 (420 × 594 mm).

Can these calendars go in the recycling bin afterwards?

In most cases, yes, because unlaminated paper and card can go straight into your paper recycling. Foiled, laminated or plastic items are a different matter: they are harder to recycle and councils treat them differently, so look up your local rules first. Taking lamination off the order is the simplest way to keep it easy to recycle. For these calendars, the material can be 170gsm gloss, 170gsm silk, 130gsm gloss or 130gsm silk.

How should we keep these calendars in good condition until we need them?

Store paper and card lying flat, in the box it arrived in, in a dry spot out of sunlight and away from radiators. Moisture makes sheets curl and can cause jams in a printer, and strong light fades the colours over time. Only take out what you need, so the rest stays clean. For these calendars, the material can be 170gsm gloss, 170gsm silk, 130gsm gloss or 130gsm silk.
