Why shop by trade printing exists

A heating engineer's week looks nothing like a café owner's. One needs service stickers for the boiler cupboard and cards to leave on the customer's worktop; the other needs signs for the kitchen and the front of house. Browsing a print site by product type means clicking through safety signs, stickers, stationery and vehicle graphics to build one order. What you'll find across the shop by trade printing pages

Broadly four kinds of thing. Labels for the kit you test, service or install, which carry your company name and number. Stationery like cards and paperwork for the customer's kitchen table. Branding for the van, so the neighbours know who to ring next. And signs for the site, the plant room, the kitchen or the rental property. Everything is personalised with your details. On labels, the price per label falls as the pack gets bigger, and the price you see is the price you pay at checkout.

No logo yet? No problem

Plenty of sole traders start with a name and a phone number and nothing else. The Artwork and Design Service is the paid route: it includes 1 design and 2 rounds of changes. You can also upload a print-ready file or use the free online designer. A real person checks every uploaded file for free. The artwork guidelines explain how to set files up. Registration numbers go on as plain text; we don't print the logos of registration or certification schemes.

Timing and delivery

Shop by trade printing mixes labels, paper, boards and magnets, so each product page shows its own production days. All of it is made to order and dispatched from the UK. UK mainland delivery is £7.95, free on orders of £100 or more after discounts (artwork fees excluded), which is easy to hit when you're kitting out a van and an office at once. Mainland Highlands add £10. Northern Ireland, the Scottish islands, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Wight are quoted. How does Shop by Trade work?

Pick your trade and you get one page holding the things people in that line of work usually buy from us, such as labels for tests and services, invoice books, cards, van magnets, signs and banners. It saves you hunting through the whole shop.

Can my registration number go on my labels?

Yes, as ordinary words. Scheme and trade-body logos stay off, because only their members may use them and we are not allowed to reproduce them.

Are there bundles that save money?

Yes. A trade starter pack bundles labels, cards and invoice books into one order. Its price is what those items would cost bought separately today, less a real discount, and the pack's own page shows the total.

Can you set up my labels and cards for me?

Yes. Putting your details onto one of our label templates is free. For more help, choose paid typesetting, a full design, a redraw of your existing logo or a brand new logo, each with a fixed price shown on the product page.

How much will delivery cost for trade orders?

Orders to the UK mainland pay £7.95, and nothing once your goods reach £100 after discounts. Mainland Scottish Highlands add £10. Northern Ireland, the Scottish islands, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Wight get a quote first.
