Window Stickers (window sticker printing)

Your glass is working for free

Every person walking past a shop looks at the window, even if only for a second. A bare pane tells them nothing. A sticker tells them who you are, when you're open and how to get hold of you, without a single screw, a bracket or anything hanging over the pavement. That's the case for window sticker printing: advertising on space you already pay rent for.

Window sticker printing: who puts what on the glass

  • Corner shops and independents: opening hours on the door, the logo on the main pane.
  • Takeaways and cafés: the phone number and a menu favourite at eye level.
  • Salons, barbers and estate agents: a round badge for a current offer, swapped when it ends.
  • Trade counters: a QR code panel so customers can find the price list online after closing.

Window sticker printing: one product, three shapes

Everything here is made through Shop Window Graphics, the same product sold in the wider window graphics range. The shape is part of the design:

  • Circle: a logo roundel or a "now open" badge.
  • Square: opening hours, notices and QR code panels, with the most room for words.
  • Rounded square: a tidier edge on a door panel.

Why matt vinyl?

Glass is shiny already. Put a glossy sticker on it and on a sunny afternoon your opening hours become a white glare. Monomeric matt adhesive vinyl keeps reflections down, so the text stays readable from an angle and from across the road. It's printed in full colour, straight onto the vinyl, so photos and brand colours come through properly.

Window sticker printing sizes

Stock sizes are 30cm, 50cm and 1m, as squares or circles, and larger custom sizes are available. Live starting prices are in the size table near the top of the page.

Door glass

Most doors take the 30cm size comfortably. Line it up with a grown-up's eyes, not the handle, and stick to the bare facts someone needs at 8pm on a Sunday.

The big pane

Go 50cm or 1m when you want to be spotted by someone waiting at the bus stop across the street. Big logo, three or four words, done.

Mix and match

Order a large piece for the window and a small one for the door in one go, using the same colours and fonts. The whole frontage then looks like it was thought through by one person.

Artwork for window sticker printing

  • Design at the finished size. PDF is the preferred file type; embed or outline your fonts.
  • People read these close up, so images should be 300 dpi at full size.
  • Check every time, number and web address before you order. A wrong digit on the door costs you calls.
  • Leave a margin inside the cut line, especially on circles.

Upload a print-ready file, use the free online designer, or book our paid artwork service. A real person checks every uploaded file for free. See the artwork guidelines.

Timing and delivery

Standard production for window sticker printing is 6 working days, express from 5 working days and saver 8, counted from when your order and artwork are confirmed. All window sticker printing is made to order and dispatched from the UK. UK mainland delivery is £7.95, free on orders of £100 or more after discounts (artwork fees excluded). Mainland Highlands add £10. Northern Ireland, the Scottish islands, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Wight are quoted. See the delivery page. For walls and panels inside, try round vinyl stickers, and floor stickers guide customers once they're through the door.

Window Stickers: questions answered

What size window sticker suits a shop door?

On most shop doors, the 30cm size in a square or circle fits comfortably with space around the handle. If you want opening hours and a logo together, the 50cm square is roomier. Measure the glass first, and keep a small gap from the edges so it does not rub the seals.

Can I use a window sticker for our opening hours?

Yes, it is one of the most popular uses. Pick a square cut, with or without softened corners, to fit every day and time. Keep the lettering bold and plain, and double check each time, because what you see is exactly what gets printed.

How do I remove a window sticker when the offer finishes?

Give it a gentle blast of warm air from a hairdryer, then lift one corner and pull back slowly and low against the glass. Glass cleaner clears any sticky patches, and the window is ready for your next sticker.

Can I order a single window sticker?

Yes, one is fine, and a batch of one design can go as high as a hundred. Different designs each go into the basket as their own line.

Do you sell frosted or see-through window film?

Not through the website. The stickers we list use a matt, monomeric self-adhesive vinyl. For clear, frosted or one way vision film, send your glass sizes through the Get a quote page and we will tell you what we can price.
