Where printed floor stickers earn their keep
People ignore posters. They don't ignore the floor, because they are watching where they put their feet. That makes printed floor stickers oddly good at getting a job done without anyone having to say a word.

The vinyl, and the floors it suits
Our printed floor stickers use monomeric matt adhesive vinyl, printed in full colour. The matt face kills the shine from overhead lights, so the message stays readable from standing height instead of turning into a white glare. It is made for smooth indoor floors: vinyl, sealed wood, polished concrete and tiles with narrow grout lines. Carpet and outdoor paving are a no.

Shapes and sizes
Squares, circles and squares with rounded corners. The rounded corner is worth it in a busy spot, because a square corner is the bit a trolley wheel or a mop catches first. Sizes are 30 cm, about 1 ft (300 mm), 50 cm, about 1 ft 8 in (500 mm), and 1 m, about 3 ft 3 in (1000 mm), each as a square or a circle. - 30 cm circle: a tidy queue spot.

Designing something people read at walking pace
- People glance down from about 1.5 m while moving, so give them one short message and a clear arrow or symbol.
- Contrast with the floor. A dark grey sticker on a dark grey floor vanishes.
- Check which way the arrow points against where each sticker will actually go. Easy to get backwards.
- Keep text at least 10 mm inside the cut line.

Walk the space. Count one per queue point or change of direction, then add a couple of spares for the busiest spots, where feet and cleaning wear them fastest. Printed floor stickers come in any quantity from 1 to 100 of one design, so a single sticker for a photo spot is just as easy as a full shop.

Floor Stickers: questions answered
Could I use floor stickers on the path outside our shop?
They are not made for that. These stickers are meant for smooth floors inside a building, such as vinyl, sealed timber, polished concrete and tiles. Outdoor paving, car parks and carpet are not suitable. If you need something for a different surface, get in touch through the Contact page first.
What is the best way to stick a floor sticker down?
Clean the spot well so no polish or grease is left, then let it dry completely. Peel back a strip of the backing, line the sticker up, and smooth it down working outwards from the middle. Press the edges firmly and keep heavy footfall off it for a little while afterwards.
Will a floor sticker stop people slipping?
No slip rating is given for these stickers, which are printed on monomeric matt adhesive vinyl. If your premises need floor graphics with a stated slip rating, ask us through the Contact page before you order, so we can tell you what is possible.
Which shape of floor sticker should I pick for a queue?
Circles are the favourite for queue spots and places to stand. Squares leave the most space for wording and arrows. The rounded-corner square is less likely to be snagged by trolleys, mops or floor cleaners, which helps it last longer in a busy shop.
Can I order just a couple of floor stickers?
Yes. You can buy a single sticker or as many as 100 of one design. If your queue or route needs several different messages, add each design to your basket as a separate line.
